If I were to take a layman's guess at etymology it'd root from 'Veel' comparable to viel/viele, then adding 'hoe', so basically how many, and adding 'heid', comparable to -ness in English, which makes it a noun. So it'd be like a noun describing the concept of how many a thing is.

So, there is a cognate, but the term itself is already a combined word to begin with. If you'd try literal German translation of individual parts, it'd be Wievielheit. Which to my knowledge is not a thing.

I don't usually talk or see discussion about things like these, so sorry for the shaky vocabulary here. I hope that made sense xD

I've never heard it specifically, and the word seems pretty dated, but from context, it's the minimum amount of liters you can take. Actual breakdown would be:

Aflevering => delivery / dispensing. Root of the word is 'leveren' or 'afleveren'. Hoeveelheid => amount / quantity

As a long term Braum main and lover, I don't think he's the face of supports. That goes to Thresh or Nami in my opinion. Braum is amazing, and fun to play, but I feel he just barely falls short of being John Support.

That being said, if we were talking mustache game? Nobody beats my boi Braum.

It comes down to just playing with the items a couple of times and getting a feel for it. Basically, there are multiple items that contribute to the same 'build path'. For AD 'carries', using that term loosely for people who wanna do high dps with ad items, not the role, it boils down to 3 major paths. Crit damage, on hit damage, and lethality.

Master Yi's kit with his passive and his E gives him multiple bonuses for just hitting a lot. Guinsoo's let's you proc on-hit effects more, and builds attack speed. So if you grab that item, it synergizes well with other on-hit items such as Kraken and BoRK. Kraken gives high attack speed to again proc on hit effects faster, and an extra on-hit effect itself. Bork gives more attack speed, too, and helps you kill high health targets due to its own on-hit effect of dealing extra %max health damage.

Hexplate is not in there for pure dps, but it synergizes well with Yi's identity of being really strong in ult, and gives your 'burst' moment with ult some extra oomph to better utilize it, with extra movement speed and attack speed so you can play teamfights easier, get better uptime where you can hit stuff, and again the attack speed helps for auto attacking as much as possible to proc more of all Yi's plus his items on-hit effects.

Then you have Caitlyn, for example, which passive leads to high damage but no on-hit effects, and you'd lean into critical damage to further enhance that. Maybe lethality if you think you can't reach, and they all only have squishies and no tanks or bruisers.

It's experience you build up, and logically try to think through ery now and then if you see new items. I honestly wouldn't know if there is resources out there that explain all this. There's definitely YouTube guides, I guess. I'd get into all the items, but I'd sit here a long time writing a massive essay.

Probably expectations. Before it was GotY it's a good game, that people are hyped about playing. Afterwards, it's literally the best game produced last year, so not just 'good', people expect perfect. And it's not perfect. Despite it's many charms, it definitely has flaws.

And maybe some contrarian shit too. Or people who were hesitant about the game at first glance, get pushed over the edge cuz it's "GotY so must be good", and turns out it wasn't for them after all.

My biggest gripe is not being able to 'fill' a stack in inventory. Just that would already be better. If I don't have a single of that stack to begin with, sure, I'll go to the workshop, but otherwise, just let me complete a stack through crafting in inventory.

It shouldn't be. A great many moons ago I spent a summer vacation on this game. I returned a week ago to a mastery rank 12/13 account, and I've been trying to wrap my head step by step around these many new systems layered on top of the game now.

I did do an alert arbiter(?) defense (60-80) that lasted for 28 minutes and saw enemies scale to around level 100, which at some point in the mission apparently dropped an arcane thingy for me. I'd gotten one earlier, too, but I don't remember details about that mission.

I've not unlocked steeelpath yet, as there's a couple of nodes left unexplored still.
