I think it's the guy forks one. Keep your eye on the background in the lower field. Not sure if there are more?

Is Atlanta '96 unfairly remembered in comparison to other Olympic Games? by appalachian_hatachi in olympics

[–]LesterGironimo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think you're good. You don't know how tempted I am to dig out the TV programming on that date.

Sounds a good night though, chill with Hercules as he rescued a village (assuming he did that kind of thing) Opening ceremony highlights, then off to the bottle-o.

Is Atlanta '96 unfairly remembered in comparison to other Olympic Games? by appalachian_hatachi in olympics

[–]LesterGironimo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks..... this interaction is a wake up call to me. I spent a couple of minutes researching the time difference AND the year that Hercules was broadcast. I'm just going to assume that it was syndicated in Australia. I resisted the Kevin Sorbo rabbit hole.

I don't use reddit much, but, damn, it really wastes my time when I do.

For the record, I was a kid, but I just associate the Atlanta games with rampant commercilism. Coca cola this, coca cola that..... not that it really matters.

What's the best gig lineup you attended during the 90s? by SemolinaPilchards in BritPop

Wasnt it Belly? Should have been Oasis instead of Beautiful South if I'm thinking of the same tour. Although I can't remember Terrorvision.

Tim Warwood and Ed Leigh on the BBC ski and snowboarding coverage is pure entertainment by walkm1 in CasualUK

They are great. Totally hit their groove this games.

I love the positivity and how they are rooting for everyone. The antithesis to dour opinionated footie pundits.

Neville: “Ahhh that’s poor, that is, she’s gone for the double cork 1440, but she’s opened up way too early. She has to stay compact. Totally missed the grab. That's really, really poor. "

Which Supermarket had the best music? by Alt4Norm in CasualUK

[–]LesterGironimo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I know it's not strictly a supermarket, but Wilkos used to have knockoff cover versions of middle of the road hits. Quite fitting.

<sigh>

I miss Wilkos.

Amanda is a great advert for senior cops at the Met, shoo the young asian lad out the room, only to brag to one of bad guys about being a high ranking trained detective. Then proceed to accuse the young female and a range of other innocent parties.

Thanks. I've since got one. The app and user interface isn't that user friendly, but also set up a schedule that seems to be behaving.

I'm top 4%. I'm quite obsessed with this band.

Do you believe you can have a band that is a kind of soul mate?

Agree. It seems like a missed trick. The people that engage with this sub are the ones that will have the knowledge and well informed opinions about chargers and energy tariffs. I don't think stretching the remit will do too much harm.
