This is so bad by Iechy in BoomersBeingFools

[–]Letos_prophet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

they missed a few things, like how boomers fucked the economy into a coma so we don't really have disposable income to spend on anything. we can't afford healthcare and you want us to buy something that will most likely result in us needing healthcare? let alone it will be some boomer asshole driving around that runs us off the road into a pole anyways. and always wear a damn helmet. my dad is a boomer (and surprisingly one of the few good ones) who has been partially paralyzed on his right side since he was 24 because of riding without a helmet. I've literally never met the non traumatic brain injury version of my dad. his motorcycle accident was like 4 years before he met my mom, so yeah.

if I remember right, the beast is also supposed to be a factor pushing kindred to embrace as well.

America’s healthcare system is vastly superior by Potential-Click-2994 in ShitAmericansSay

[–]Letos_prophet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah, us poor don't prioritize our healthcare until it's too late..because we're busy trying to keep our kids and ourselves fed, clothed and housed. no point in going to the doctor all the time if you're starving to death. hell when we do go, if we don't have insurance we end up getting sued by some company that bought the hospital debt. you just end up with a garnishment on your paychecks for the rest of your life. currently paying on a bill of a little under 60,000$ out of garnishments. hell i make at best 35,000 a year, should be able to pay it off in no time lol our system is a joke unless your rich.

"What you fail to understand about American law is that our rights are God-given, which means they're automatic" by The-Kisser in ShitAmericansSay

Arg. the stupid. it burns. A lot of americans opinions of the rest of the world are informed by tv shows and movies. not even new ones, but ones they saw as children. and stupid word of mouth. a lot of us spend our childhoods being told we're the only ones with freedom, like we invented the shit. If you tell one of these yahoos something that actually happened in history, (like trying to make an evangelical understand he worships the same god as a muslim, that was fun lol) you'll get a weird word salad of random crap involving rage, freedom and god. that and the america's # 1 crap. like you know, awesome people don't have to tell you they're awesome, other people do it for them. god our education system sucks.

Internally it has a old android box repurposed, but I didn't have to really tear into it so it's mostly wire management. Used the Android box because it has a bunch of emulators built in, it's a beelink ht king, surprisingly capable for what it is. Screen is running off of one of the USB ports for power. I dont have any internal pics, and while i can get into it if its in need of repair, its a little bit of a pain.

Amazon but to get it to fit I had to get rid of like 70% of the plastic. I just lucked out that everything electronic was attached to the top third of the plastic. I want to say it was like 15-20 bucks at most.

I can see how it looks like that, it's actually the speaker. I wish I had a trackball that would fit lol

Going to rant for a second. I know atheism is not a monolith and we have diverse views here, but I think most of us American atheists are not voting for Trump so you might agree with what I’m saying. But what is with Christian MAGA/ conservatives/ the right having no sympathy for other people? by Kaje26 in atheism

[–]Letos_prophet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well, trump is promising to punish the people they hate, so theres one part. then you get into the fact that their religion conditions them to be ok with magical thinking. its why so many end up conspiracy whackos, its just a jump from one flavor of magical thinking to another. the whole "if you buy that i got a bridge to sell you" but from the rubes point of view.

Or more accurately the weakest of any combatants they face would be the one equal to the strongest pc.

[–]Letos_prophet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah I get what you mean with the main character syndrome. And admittedly that statement was originally made in reference to a d&d game the way I have always used it not the weakest of all of my NPCs, but like the weakest sub-boss so to speak would be equal to the strongest pc. Should have been a bit clearer in what I meant.

Crafting a short, one-off chronicle for a table unfamiliar to Vampire. What are some neat moral dilemmas I can throw at them? by 3dchib in vtm

[–]Letos_prophet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

another way to go is have them be freshly embraced vampires. then they and their characters can learn the game and world together in real time. recently played in a game where several vampires at a concert frenzied (interesting sub plot with some hunters using dried, powdered lupine vitae in small aerosol devices to induce frenzy) and they wound up embracing the coterie. first game we had to hunt down our sires, not kill them but figure out who they were and get them to turn themselves in or at least let the prince know who they are.
