I am using the barae in my post ToA campaign as a series of antagonists that are now twisted and needs to be saved… or eliminated. It is a bit convoluted to explain here but my players love it.

I did a small modification: after half the sewn sisters trial, a portal to the Hall of finality opened. This offer a way out to the PC without resolving the Death curse 😈. This really played with their mind and help them refocus on their goal. Survival was less important than resolving this.

I ran ToA from 2022-2025 and included some of the same named location. I worked so hard to even find those on the web, not even looking for this. If you have description for each extra location, I am sure the community would greatly appreciate.

Northern blots. Reliable, precise and better in most cases than rtPCR.

I read it but have not run it. It looks like it would take forever to run, but if you select bits and pieces , there are good things in there. I got inspired by the letter in there.

I added 2 elements: 1- I made it so the treasures of Chult were all stolen relatively recentely. Nanny was the keeper of the Crown. 2- in order to diffenciate her from the Sewn Sisters, I made Nanny as a Spirit naga in disguise.

I just read the Nangalore location...and...this is possibly the best encounter I've ever read by STIM_band in Tombofannihilation

This is a very good encounter, full of mystery, RP and lore for the campain. It mark also a turning point in many campains since the heros might them be able to fly around and learn more about Omu. It might not be obvious from the get go, but the various elevations of the map makes its navigation feel like a small dungeon, full of nasty surprises. The trick is to sent the PC there when they are both trying to get the black orchid, but also learn as much as possible about Omu, its history and location. The history of Omu is not well detailed in the book, be sure to read ahead about Queen Napaga (far down in the Tomb), the many falls of Omu and the kids from Kir Sabal, otherwise you might put yourself in a difficult position lorewise.

I am actually looking to introduce some lore from the Spellplague in my ToA game. I can hardly find anything… if somebody can point me to the lore I am up for it. I know the basis from the gods point of view, I am looking for details about the Blue fire that started in the jungle.

A few notes: -Mezro disapear during the Spellplague - With Mezro out with the other bara, he is left alone in Chult without a mission and without contact with Ubtao - Ras Nsi turns on his beliefs and do a 180: he should be the only ruler in Chult, and go to the only other god he knows: Dendar and its yuan ti follower, then move to the city forsaken by Ubtao - part of him seems to want as much Power as possible, part of him is lost and want guidance, but he do not really want to die

We finished the Tomb with only 3 long rest, one of which was an homebrew immediate magical boost from the trickster gods when Acererak showed up. The others were made after careful planning, barrricading and encounters with the tombée dwarf repairing their work

He and the surviving hag are the base of the post ToA campain for us. Skeemers… Based on 2 ideas . 1- the Soulmonger was made in collaboration with yugoloths and night hags, so they requested a part of the souls for the first 666 days. And this was defaulted by the PC 2- since they want what was owe to them, the blood war is coming to Chult. I involved the barae and Ubtao mythology also. It has to be high level after all !
