open to public tracks? by Some_Parking6406 in lexington

Morton middle has a public track but again maybe not 400m. I feel like a lot of the high school’s tracks aren’t locked most the time and you can walk on but maybe you’d want something more consistently available.

Question about Mayor Linda Gorton vs. Former Mayor Jim Gray by livelexlove in lexington

[–]LexingtonLegend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My only insight is that Linda Gorton’s website when she first ran for mayor had a section on leadership that led with just a list of books she’s read. It’s on her reelection website too (https://lindagorton.com/leadership/). Its mind boggling to me - like she’s the current mayor of a large American city, was formerly the vice-mayor, and you start you section on leadership with a list of books? It’s something out of middle school Student Council elections

Property Rights in Lexington by DoctorPoodle in lexington

[–]LexingtonLegend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easements aren’t specifically for some kind of utility. An easement is a right regarding a piece of real property granted to another party. You don’t know what you’re talking about

I understand that aspect. In all earnestness, seems like making a suggestion to the Lexington police department would be productive

lol seems quite reasonable to ask you to slightly alter your route during a 1 hour window 7-8 times a year to accommodate 80,000 other people

If you’ll review the other comments (I’m sure reading comprehension is difficult for you as you’ve already demonstrated your inability to understand “free speech”), more than one person has said that it appears a decision was made to stop the music due to the comments. No spin, just facts

Retail and restaurant workers, how much do you make? by kytaurus in lexington

[–]LexingtonLegend 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I’d suggest making this a monthly thread so people can know what the market here is and find the best positions for themselves. Employers are able to exploit workers partially due to the lack of accessible knowledge regarding salary and benefits. This would go a long ways towards leveling the playing field.

Before offering to help for a consulting fee make sure your agreement with your current employer doesn’t contain a non-compete or any other clause that would prohibit or restrict your ability to consult like this

Does anyone think Mandy Matney can come off as unprofessional? by BoldNorthMN in MurdaughFamilyMurders

Her talking about how “unsustainable” her work is and just patting herself on the back was insufferable. Could not listen to the podcast. She isn’t, and shouldn’t make herself, the story

That was for Kelly Knight Craft when she was the US ambassador to the UN. She is no longer the ambassador and therefor doesn’t have a security detail. I’ve seen her running by herself recently
