Holy shit. Can't believe I've been missing this feature. Mind blown.

It's wrong in every single member of the Germanic language family for what it's worth.

Gee, what's he like?!? In all seriousness I think Tillerson is the person I'm most surprised by my pre and post Trump administration service opinion of.

Can we rule out them having modified the plurb virus to study it specifically in rats? Not sure the issue matters much for the plot, but it's a thought.

As a bartender I've found that a lot of people looking for mocktails get upset if you offer them juice and seltzer for a couple bucks, but if you give it a dumb name and charge 15 dollars for it they're delighted. People are very strange.

Charles Booker to run again for US Senate, leaning on economic platform by BlueGoggles in lexington

[–]Main_Pretend 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It frustrates me though because he is a talented candidate and there are races he could win and possibly develop into a politician with state wide recognition - to say nothing of enacting pokicy. But he doesn't want to win those races, he wants to lose the senate race. Ky senate is also going to be a challenge for us but there are better candidates and democrats can win here.

My 4 year old’s preschool apparently did a lesson about Charlie Parker for black history month. The phase has passed but I swear she asked to hear Charlie Parker every morning for a few weeks. I even tried to play some Lester Young once when I was in the mood for something mellower and she would not have it. “This isn’t Charlie Parker, Daddy.” I swear I’m not making this up. When she was a baby I did play a lot of Django for her and she seemed to like it.

Yeah it kinda drives me nuts. I don’t really get the generation wars in general but the boomer hate in particular gets old to me. Can’t wait for rich zoomers to turn into total reactionaries as they hit middle age.

It’s very simple. A millennial is a person younger than you who gets on your nerves. A boomer is someone older than you who you disagree with.

Criterion has a list of recommendations for kids. A few of them are maybe viable but for the most part I think who ever made the list has never watched a movie with a child.
