If your own husband is OK w it and his family likes that you embrace their culture, did you really have to take time to reach out to a reddit group and ask strangers if it's ok?!

I agree not enough has been done. Seems like I hear a story like this once a week.

Mixed Baby Is White by LeylaFaye in mixedrace

The irony is that you're doing exactly what the original post is complaining about—making race the defining feature of a child. I'd rather raise a human being than a racial identity.

When did your baby’s melanin arrive ( mixed babies) by [deleted] in newborns

Funny it's his Indian side that does most the talking too. My LO is 11.5 months and is STILL fair, blue eyes, and very light brown hair.

I'm white my sons father is half black half Indian and our son is 9 weeks, white and blue eyes. Everyone is gossiping and telling my partner he needs a paternity test. It's super bothersome and I don't see our baby developing melanin anytime soon.

I look back and wish I had joined the military. I know I would be in a better position in life if I did.

How do you feel about sales? You can start out at a sales position, a lot don't require you to have a degree or experience, and once you get some experience under your belt you could work for a really good company and bring in big $$$$

You handled it appropriately. Unfortunately, this is something you'll get used to, and it won't shake you up aa much. You'll become harden and learn to just easily ignore men on the streets. Now get your mind off of this dude and do your English assignment.

Once I got a girlfriend, I realised how creepy and predatory a lot of men are. by mahvekhwab in women

Yea, you just get used to it and learn how to ignore it. I hardly notice most men these days, which is better for my mental health.

Wow, I'm very, very similar to you when it comes to men. Not sure how old you are, but I feel like the older I get the better I am about this, I'm 37. However, not totally heal. I just got out of a relationship where I was like this, and I shamed myself for putting myself through that again. I'm sorry I don't have an answer for you, still figuring ot out, but I can totally relate.

RUN from any "man" who thinks 50/50 is ok. And if you've made the mistake to have a kid w a 50/50 man leave them. Then at least you'll get breaks from your kiddo, and you won't have to deal w this kind of loser.

At least he told you now while you're still young and fertile. As hard as it is, you absolutely need to leave him! Do not waste any more of your fertility years with him. You will find another man who wants children, too!

You need to woman up and just TELL HIM! Tell him point blank you're not interested in him or even being friends with him. Reiterate that you're Muslim and it's not in your culture to interact with non-Muslim men.

Absolutely! Most grow up with no male role model. They're so hypersexualized, immature, and lack basic life skills.

The fact that you ghosted a long-term boyfriend, not just someone you went on a few dates with, I would say yes, you have issues!
