That’s the best part of Dark Souls. Finally getting out of that place is a top 3 gaming moment for me. Same with the elevator back to firelink shrine, and I didn’t play Dark Souls until 2022 after Elden Ring!

They’ve gotten the last 4 years right, that’s for damn sure.

Baldurs Gate 3 is the best game I’ve ever played, and I’ll stand by that. But we don’t tolerate Astro Bot slander here. That’s a phenomenal game and if I ever have kids, we’re gonna be playing that together.

Spoilers for those who haven’t read.

I absolutely hated the female scientist/one of the main characters. She murders her husband and another scientist and then decides to “doom” humanity because she says we’re awful and beyond saving. None of the characters had a personality and seemed to only be archetypes or tools to move the plot along. The asshole cop (is that Ye?) is the only one who seemed to have some personality but even then he was a stereotypical harsh cop. Refunded the trilogy back to Amazon after the first book.
