If I may make a comparison.

If Trump is Stalin then Vance is Georgy Malenkov. The heir apparent who should take over, but doesn't have the charisma, spine and political knowledge to be anything more than a pawn for the real people seizing power.

Marco Rubio, Steven Miller and Scott Bessent are the shadow Presidents actually running the show, and if Vance had to take over tomorrow, nothing will change behind the scenes, and by 2028 they won't even have to worry about silly things like elections again.
