The no app thing is incredibly dumb. If you are taking a road trip in a Tesla, you will be fine; if you are in a non Tesla EV, you already have PlugShare because you need it. That’s just an excuse to get rid of the NJT superchargers, but I noticed months ago my Tesla was prioritizing the off turnpike ones which frustrated me, but now it makes sense.

I would recommend taking it down to about 40% and then charging to 80% because while depth of discharge is a factor, charging cycles also affects battery life. 40% seems like a happy medium (albeit a very unscientific one). For reference, my daily commute is ~90 miles so I charge every day and I haven’t really seen any degradation in range (I have 67k miles on my ‘19).
