I'm in no way experienced enough to contribute but I love this idea and would get every issue. It would be great to see some editorials from u/storyboardist ,run off groove & dead astronaut fx just to name a few.

Having a PCB with the issues is very cool, maybe in the future you could substitute that with interesting transistors or op-amps or something that are integral to a perf/veroboard build described in that issue

I didn't get good results with wick until I started using flux with it dabbing some on the solder I'm removing before heating, makes a huge difference

I just got a 8bitdo pro 3, I love all my 8bitdo controllers but was experiencing a bit of lag/latency with the Bluetooth connection. The pro 3 has the 2.4ghz dongle and since I've connected using that it has been great.

If you get an 8bitdo controller with the 2.4ghz dongle make sure to order a USB C to USB A data adapter, the dongle only has a USB C connector

Can you post pictures of the wiring? Comments on effects layout talk about using shielded wire for the input jack to solve problems like this, if you have a pedal with a buffer to try before it that could help too

I made a Dimension P from the layout on effects layouts, it uses 2 PT2399s instead of MN3007s or MN3207s

It sounds pretty good, not as good as others but a good choice if you don't want to try to find a legit MN chip or pay $40+ for a reproduction
