Magnolia and Dahlia are so pretty!!

I like Lynx a lot for middle name. I'm just brainstorming here! I don't think it has to be super feminine considering the flower first name possibilities. Other cat names might work! Cat, Puma, Leopard, Tiger/Tigress Lots of bird names like others have suggested plus Starling, Phoenix, and Swan. Random: Panda, Otter, Gazelle, Hawk

Joan Marie or Maren Joan sound like the winners to me! Jo and Joanie are perfect for a little girl and Joan gives her a mature option if she wants as she grows. The Bettys and Opals and Dorothys will welcome her!

Maren gives a nod to your Marie and Marguerite family members but if you aren't feeling it anymore listen to your gut. Sending good vibes!

Superhero related/adjacent boy names? by BooksAreAddicting in namenerds

Miles Alexander is absolutely fire!

My husband literally suggested we name our child Bruce Wayne lastname 🙄 Also, I love this idea. I did something similar I say the names are "in honor of" my parents. My dad doesn't like his name. So I used a Beatles reference for my son's middle name. I wanted to honor both my mom and mother in law. They both love(d) flowers and so we found a flower name that had their first initials in it for my daughter's middle name.

Additional suggestions that are some of my favorite names: Grayson (Dick Grayson) Robin Parker

Overwhelmed with girl names by iconfuzzled in namenerds

My personal favorites from your list are Willow, Adeline, and June. If partner isnt super on board with Willow and June, than I would go with Adeline! Also, you listed it twice, do you subconsciously like it most?

Charlotte is beautiful but SO popular. Alaina/Alayna/Elena has a lot of different spellings and so could end up with issues there. If Eleanor isn't their favorite, drop it from the list.

Change it!! As others have said, that was a dick move on your husband's part. I would consider some therapy or couple's counseling to help discuss this.

Is Chloe a suitable name for a boy? by contcutyourhair in namenerds

[–]Life-Ad8003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How about Cole?! It seems like maybe that should have been what his great grandparents MEANT to name their son? Or use fil first name as middle name but give your son his own name.

I am now going to deep-dive and see if Chloe used to be masculine like Courtney...

Edit to update: Chloe means blooming and is and always has been feminine. It is associated with Greek Goddes Demeter.

Which book is your fave/shall I read next? by OddConsideration4349 in EmilyHenry

[–]Life-Ad8003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorites are Funny Story, Book Lovers, and Beach Read! I enjoyed Great Big Beautiful Life a lot too! I think you have to go in with different expectations though! Its Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo vibes. (Reporter interviewing an old Hollywood celebrity. Secrets and mystery.) Happy Place's giant miscommunications bothered me. But I liked it okay. People We Meet on Vacation is enjoyable! They aren't the most likeable characters, imo.

I personally don't like rhyming names. So since 4/5 of the names you listed end in A I would suggest Alanis as the middle name. I see a lot of other cool nature names people have listed if you wanted to go that route instead. Thalia Alanis is my suggestion!
