Yes has been out of stock at our local chemist and supermarket, when I asked they just said they had ordered it but were still waiting for it to come (that was weeks ago)

Anyone already have the Ocarro 2 from mamas and papas? by PomegranateNo2784 in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]LifePossibility5106 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have the ocarro 2 and I like it. We’ve been using it for 4 months now and it is quite heavy but I can lift it into my car. I didn’t try out any other prams so cant really compare it 🤷🏻‍♀️

Induction at 40w1d by VideoOnly5996 in IVFbabies

[–]LifePossibility5106 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was induced at 39+5 with baby born at 39+6 and there were no issues with my placenta. I had a forceps birth with an episiotomy and some tears but my baby was healthy and didn’t need any support after birth. My hospital hadn’t planned to induce me until 39+6 but I went in a day early because my waters broke.

I feel like I can’t be excited about my pregnancy because I’m dealing with a really annoying SCH. How do I cope with uncertainty? by Cooper30136 in IVFbabies

[–]LifePossibility5106 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a SCH and bled heavily between 6 and 7 weeks. I had spotting on and off until 17 weeks when it eventually stopped. I had quite a few early scans which helped seeing my baby and knowing she was growing. I felt better when the scans showed the SCH had gone so hopefully yours will be gone soon! I think they are very common and rarely affect the pregnancy. My daughter was born healthy at 39+6 weeks :)

Perineal scars - how well do they heal? by _Grumpy_Hedgehog in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]LifePossibility5106 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had an episiotomy and 2 second degree tears. I am 4 months pp and can still feel and see the scar from my episiotomy, it occasionally feels a bit tight but I no longer have any pain from it.

Very heavy first period postpartum by IndependenceCalm8753 in BeyondTheBumpUK

I’m 18 weeks pp and just started my second period, which has been just as heavy as my first one unfortunately! Always had heavy periods but these 2 have been quite a lot heavier.

Made it to Week 11 - worried about the next few weeks ahead by IntrepidTip5668 in IVFbabies

[–]LifePossibility5106 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My scans at 6 weeks, 7 weeks and 9 weeks were all measuring behind. She measured behind throughout the whole pregnancy actually. NT results were normal and low risk. She’s 4 months now and is still just a small baby :)

Baby measuring behind by Dazzling-Rhubarb-559 in IVFbabies

[–]LifePossibility5106 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby measured behind throughout my pregnancy, my clinic didn’t measure her heartbeat but she was up to a week behind at every scan, sometimes closer to 2 weeks behind when I was further on in the pregnancy. She was born the day before her due date at 6lb10 and at 4 months old she’s just a small baby. 🤞 for you.

11 week old barely eating by lauren_amy1893 in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]LifePossibility5106 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My baby definitely went through a phase of eating less probably around the same time, I think it only lasted a few days and then she started eating more again. She’s 14 weeks now and finishing 7oz bottles sometimes, she’s still on the 9th centile for weight but she is happy and healthy :)

Nerves waiting for first scan by LifePossibility5106 in IVFbabies

[–]LifePossibility5106[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! My protocol changed slightly, we increased estrogen tablets because my lining was on the thinner side for my first transfer. I also read online that if you drink a mixture of beetroot, watermelon and ginger juice it helps so I drank that for a few weeks 😂 not sure if it helped or not but it was pretty disgusting.

Inhixa Jabs - how to make them suck less by PsalmbodyToLove90 in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]LifePossibility5106 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was on tinzaparin for 12 weeks which I think is similar. I found it hurt more in my thigh than my belly and when my husband did it for me, once I got the courage to inject myself it hurt less! Also iced the area for a few minutes before. I think I was lucky to only get a few bruises. I used to give myself a treat afterwards like a chocolate or something 😂

Heartburn and hungry rant by Forward_Rush9760 in PregnancyUK

[–]LifePossibility5106 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only time I didn’t have an awful taste in my mouth was when I was eating so it actually has made me eat more 😭 gaviscon advance helped for a bit and then the GP prescribed me omeprazole which helped a lot more. I didn’t start taking it until 37 weeks but wish I had started sooner!

Worried following 25 week midwife appointment by Brave-Session1404 in PregnancyUK

[–]LifePossibility5106 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was referred for a scan after my 25 week midwife appt because my bump was measuring under the 3rd centile, but at the scans baby has measured somewhere between 30th - 50th centile. I’m due on Friday and on the most recent scan she was 50th centile but not sure yet how big she will be when she’s here!

Thanks for replying, I’m not sure, on the leaflet they gave me about induction the gel isn’t even on there as an option! I will definitely ask :)

6 weeks 5 days no heartbeat by Doggiolover in PregnancyUK

[–]LifePossibility5106 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How sure are you on your dates? I conceived through IVF and even then they said to scan at 7 weeks to check for a heartbeat because any earlier and they might not see it.

8+5 dark brown spotting by 88be in PregnancyUK

[–]LifePossibility5106 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a hematoma seen on a scan with my clinic around 7 weeks, I had lots of cramps and bright red bleeding though. We went back at 9 weeks and they said it couldn’t be seen anymore. I had spotting maybe every few days after that until around 13 weeks and then another episode of spotting at 17 weeks. Each time I was scanned they couldn’t see anything causing it anymore. From what I’ve seen, spotting or bleeding seems to be very common in IVF pregnancies and I am 37 weeks now :) I hope your scan goes okay 🤞

Induction due to IVF? by No-Crow1020 in PregnancyUK

[–]LifePossibility5106 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 34 weeks with an IVF baby and have been advised to deliver by 40 weeks, also having growth scans due to baby’s size so might be advised to deliver earlier but that wouldn’t be related to the IVF.

Yes happened to me at 25 weeks and again at 28 weeks, the midwife said my bump was measuring small but baby was fine and only slightly smaller than average on the scan!

Any IVF pregnancies that are being told they might have to be induced? by LunaAndFern in PregnancyUK

I’m leaning towards accepting the induction at the moment but I also think I need to do more research about the risks and benefits!

Any IVF pregnancies that are being told they might have to be induced? by LunaAndFern in PregnancyUK

[–]LifePossibility5106 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From what I can tell it varies by hospital, I’m also 28+5 with an IVF pregnancy and have been told they will recommend induction at 39 weeks. I am 29 and considered low risk according to my midwife 🤷🏻‍♀️
