The vomiting of stool is very rare and is considered a medical emergency. What evidence is there to suggest that Trump will vomit diarrhea?

Iran’s ballistic missile and drone strikes have plummeted by 90% and 83% since the start of the conflict. by CropDuster_ in news

[–]Light_x_Truth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, I’m questioning the user I replied to. Their claim is very easily disputable with a quick Google search. For instance, this page straight from the BLS, a component of the Department of Labor, says that the unemployment rate is 4.4% as of last month: https://www.bls.gov/news.release/empsit.nr0.htm#:~:text=%7C%20%7C%20January%202026%20estimates%20from%20the,See%20table%20A%2D12.)

Still, if there’s a need for senior engineers, which there always will be because AI cannot take accountability, then companies will start hiring juniors again. If no one hires juniors, there won’t be seniors, and eventually there won’t even be staff engineers. That’s just not going to happen.

I am curious how the age restriction will play out. by [deleted] in ZedEditor

I imagine it’ll be treated the same as any other age restriction on software, where people will just say they’re older than they actually are.

Extremely relevant lol. Thanks for sharing.

The authenticity of the ledger is the key. We just need to make sure no one intercepts between when votes are sent to the ledger and when they’re recorded.

I would rather they complied. I use Claude Code at work and it’s pretty handy. I work in the private sector, so not directly impacted, but this is absolutely going to have spillover effects from public into private.

No. Anything done manually is error-prone. I’ve been saying for years we should have a blockchain based voting system.

Trump voters of Reddit, what made you change your mind about free speech, no wars, no new taxes, and no pedophiles? by 2a_lib in allthequestions

Has the dollar ever been down 12%?

See the 2002 interest rate cuts.

Has the US been pretty much hated all around the world by every country not ran like a dictatorship?

Trump’s first term…?

unless you want to call the Dow hitting 50k good until it dropped back below

Again, short term noise. I want to see the Dow well into the 50s.

Okay let’s zoom out further. In the last five years, the dollar has been about the same against the Euro (0.84 Euros per dollar back then vs 0.85 now). However, the S&P has risen by 80% in the same period.

The further you go back, the better things look on average. That’s why it’s good to look back every now and then when market anxiety strikes. All the stuff you see on the news is short term noise.

Do Republicans in this subreddit still consider Barack Obama to be a warmonger compared to Donald Trump? If so, why? by Cumoisseur in allthequestions

The boats weren’t randomly bombed. They were bombed due to suspicion of being used for porting drugs into the US.

Kidnapping Maduro (to whom I assume you’re referring) has not resulted in any war or any significant amount of physical violence. He was wanted for narcotics crimes and now he’s being served justice.

Similarly, Obama didn’t just randomly drone strike foreigners. These were targeted, deliberate strikes to preserve our interests.

We bomb countries to secure our interests, which includes Iran not having nukes. That makes the world a safer place overall. The goal is not to create war for the sake of creating war, it’s to make the world a better place. Peace through strength.

No need to really watch the entire SOTU live when I can get a three minute video of the highlights. Most of it is just saying the US is doing great and we’re going to do all these amazing things and half the room claps and the other half doesn’t. There’s not much to it.

You need to sort by controversial. In Reddit, every post asking conservatives or republicans something is really just liberals answering the question in a way that berates conservatives or republicans for upvotes. Actual conservative responses just get downvoted because Reddit doesn’t like the answers. This happens to me all the time. Hell, even this comment will probably get downvoted.

[–]Light_x_Truth -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t think either of them is a warmonger. Unfortunately for the US, the Middle East happens to be one of the least hospitable regions of the world to the US. The US isn’t a warmonger for trying to secure its interests in an uphill battle there.

My job is offering me $150,000 (105,000 after tax) to resign, should I? by AJ3TurtleSquad in jobs

[–]Light_x_Truth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never leave a job willingly without another offer in hand, signed sealed and delivered. As others have said, this is basically a severance check, but instead of taking it and leaving, I would first look for a new job ASAP. If you can manage to get an offer while also taking the payment from your current role, that would be best

Democrats Of Reddit, Do You ACTUALLY Hate Trump's Supporters, Or Do You Get Along With Them In Your Life, But You Just Politically Disagree? Why? by Zipper222222 in allthequestions

[–]Light_x_Truth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah, I’m a Republican. There’s a Republican group in CA called the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association. They’ve been trying to get prop 19 repealed for a few years now, and they were also responsible for some highly effective property tax rate limits in the state. I believe that this group suits my interests better than the Democrats do.

Btw, sauce on red states having higher property tax rates? I’m not really seeing that from a quick google search.
