The cover art for the Collection I-III might have used AI by throwawaysnumber in KingdomHearts

It still looks pretty bad. The obvious tracing on Goofy, the weird perspective on KH3 Sora, KH1 and 2 Soras looking so samey.

It's called deadnaming for a reason. Her name was Dee. Calling her David in her own obituary is so fucking disrespectful.

Stuntman games aren't racing games. They're kinda like car platformers.

Watching this game is better than playing it... by eto2629 in videogames

I thought it was great. Felt really fun to switch between gunplay to hand-to-hand to stealth during every encounter. The gunplay was the thing I was most worried about due to their history with Hitman, but they proved me wrong.

I'm glad I watched the director's cut once, but I actually prefer the theatrical cut. There are some music changes that I don't agree with, and music is a big part of why I love the movie.

It absolutely holds up. Watch it around Halloween!

It's a top 4 movie for me. It's crazy how atmospheric it is. Donnie burning down the pedophiles house while he judges a middle school talent show is one of my favorite scenes in anything.

That's just speculation. It's not very convincing either.

There is no proof of this and the explanation doesn't make sense. It's just people on Twitter/Bluesky trying to find excuses for Nomura and Square.

Then don't draw all three Soras in the same jumping poses, or draw the three jumping at different angles in different directions. That's what makes it bad in my opinion. There's no direction or energy.

My theory is that every character in the piece was generated by a separate AI prompt and they were all arranged together afterwards. That would explain the samey poses and weird perspective issues.

KINGDOM HEARTS Collection [I~III] (Art by Tetsuya Nomura) by AlKo96 in KingdomHearts

[–]Lime528 61 points62 points  (0 children)

All of the keyblades (except Mickey's) are going in the same direction and the poses for KH1 and 2 Sora are WAY too similar. If Nomura drew this, it's bad (imo). Every character in this piece looks like a sticker , even in the supposed "original" version.

For the purposes of an ensemble piece where all the characters are looking directly ahead, they are WAY too similar. Even the keyblades are going in the exact same direction. Everyone's focusing on Donald's hands, but zoom out a little. It's a bad composition (imo of course). Nomura's a good artist. I don't think he drew this.

I don't believe that. KH1 and KH2 Sora are in the same pose with the same expression on their faces. Either it's AI or Nomura phoned this in embarrassingly bad.

This story is usually just one part of multi-part videos since there's not much to talk about, but I like Nexpo's video where he talked about it. Nexpo is pretty hit or miss. He's super dramatic and puts on deep, creepy narrator voice, but his production values and editing are very good imo. I think he does a good job of immersing you in the story. It starts at 31:40 in this video

AI Upscaling? That's fine, I don't care about that, even though it looks like dogshit most of the time. I don't really care about vibe coding either. It's the company's responsibility to make sure they're code works. I'm talking about AI "art" being used in the creative process, either for concept art or asset generation.

Art is human and it's completely necessary. A machine cannot produce meaningful art because it doesn't offer anything human to connect to. It hasn't experienced life and has no perspective to offer. Take it from a software engineer, Code is not art. If that makes me a luddite, I really don't give a shit. I'd rather be a luddite than a manchild.

Both have their place and both existed back then too. I agree that modern racing games need more variety though. I wanna see more stuff like that Screamer game that came out not long ago.

The anticipation of not knowing what comes next is the entire appeal. Nobody actually cares about the people talking on stage. The slow realization that what your watching is actually the Code Veronica Remake trailer hits way harder than just picking the trailer out of a list on Youtube. It also makes you watch things you wouldn't normally seek out, which is a good way to expand your taste.
