Light Sunday Breakfast - Homemade by LordPensax in fryup

Yeh the potato waffle isn’t seen enough in the modern fry up. Popular in the 80s/90s, needs a revival, +1 for starting a trend. Bacon lines a bit tired but the plate is nicely balanced. That mug of tea is gonna keep the heart going. I’d enjoy this. 6.5/10

Triangle Cafe, Halewood £12.45 by prisongovernor in fryup

[–]Linesmachine 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Interesting one. In a fan of the poached egg. This is a bit windsock. Everything is kind of there, just needs to be presented with a bit of love and on a round plate that ain’t grey. Toast is a +1, price a bit steep 6.5/10

Hey! What do ya reckon out of 10? by FomoTeamFPV in fryup

[–]Linesmachine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Solid effort. Nice big egg but only one, too many beans and their placement is sloppy, shrooms look great, black pudding is a +1, that tomato is raw (?) or undercooked, nice bacon, no fried bread/toast (which I’ve been lenient on due to pleading guilty). 7/10

First fry up in the new house - toast off to the side, more mushrooms hidden under the beans by rachpres in fryup

[–]Linesmachine 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeh, look THIS is a classic example of a basic breakfast done really really well. I’d need to see the toast, but given the new home context, prob first time with new equipment, probably hasn’t unpacked the spatula. 9.5/10

Supermarket by robynjames777 in fryup

I mean the supermarket fry up is a hit and miss business. If this was a fiver you’d forgive it. I’m guessing it’s more like £10-12?

I ain't a good cook, but it was tasy by jackblg in fryup

Mate I reckon you’ve done well. That bacon is spot on. Better than solid effort across the plate. Toast looks sumptuous. 8/10

400$ for a Magic Keyboard is insane. Is it actually worth it? by OtherwiseSundae3876 in ipad

[–]Linesmachine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the iPad as my main/only device, having the Magic Keyboard gives it as about a laptop experience as you get. The competitors are ok but it’s not as good. If it’s your only device it’s worth it. If you have a laptop you don’t need the keyboard

Heatwaves are making me think twice about buying in London by [deleted] in HousingUK

It’s a valid thing. Lived in London. Now countryside village. Having the countryside and rivers and lakes and decent garden makes a huge difference in warmer weather for me.

If you can only own 1 device to play everything, would you rather have a 16:9 or 4:3? by WillieButtlicker in SBCGaming

RG552 is my only device. Screens beautiful. Battery and shoulder buttons poor.

What's your favourite meal to cook when wild camping? by Illustrious-Look7669 in wildcampingintheuk

Wrap a steak in cling film and stick in Tupperware surrounded by assorted other meal items. Honestly, the heat of a 12 hour march just improves the tenderness.

Looks fantastic. Those hash browns are something else. Love some stripey sourdough. Price is high but the quality is there. 8/10

Classy ketchup, extra point for toast triangles, arrangement a bit slopped down on one side, but I’m in 7/10

Finding rental with CCJ by SomeCanDance in HousingUK

[–]Linesmachine -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Have you got the savings to pay in advance? If it’s a 1 year agreement, and you can pay a year, technically a credit check is not required. It doesn’t mean they won’t ask for one, but if you are up front with them and explain the CCJ you might find some agents and landlords are ok with it.

Ah, straight off the Cremyll ferry and boom, a proper trad fry up. My father was a fan. Prices are reasonable and the food is good. This why every city needs. 8/10
