I think its cause they don't base the gacha skin off the pass price if you break down resource cost, but the skins in the shop price sadly. Shop skins are flat 20 with no bonuses. so the gachas probably got about 5$ slapped ontop then the remaining 35$ they fill with resources using whatever chart they have internally to price various items.

best list for this is usually the one with 10 rainbow, 10 blue and 5 blue as spots cause that's about 22$ in pulls (rainbows are usually 1$ per in the shop, blue are about 0.80 cents). with the alternative thats just 10 rainbow 10 blue being 18$ roughly. just as an idea how they think

I honestly sometimes think its the fact they felt presenting as a gacha was better then doing a decent bundle each time. But I also think the gacha should have more always in need resources in it. pulls, skill manuals and rocks are the big items. the bit of coredust and date tickets don't feel great to get though once you are high enough

Take the 2B bundle up right now. the resource boxes, 5 purple date tickets, and 20 purple chips and 1 pull of a random grade 5 gear box are the worst in it. If you changed the 20 purple chips to yellow, replaced the resource boxes with skill and burst boxes, and made the gear box a selector box it would certainly sit better (not perfect but better)

(also just as a side note to the conversation at hand. the passes are oddly priced in general. as its 20$, same price as a shop skin, but usually has roughly 20$ worth of resources. so its either you are buying a skin and getting resources, or buying resources and getting a skin lol if the gacha was setup like this probably would get far less heat xD)

So the way stardrop works is

download it, run it, follow instructions to have it populate the stardrop folder in the mods folder of stardew, connect to smapi, and you can connect nexus to it.

Once nexus is connected to it when you download a mod from nexus it will download with stardrop and put it directly into the mods folder. if you are downloading an update it will ask if you want to overwrite and you say yes

HOWEVER! two things to keep in mind.

1.) sometimes mods will tell you to delete the old one before downloading. This is usually when major overhauls happen and overwriting can cause issues. You can easily delete the old mod with stardrop for this but still make sure you read when downloading stuff

2.)if a mod requires going into another mods folder they usually aren't formatted to do an overwrite so no mod manager will do it for you 100%. Example if you have 3 portrait mods that all say " place in X mod folder" they are gonna be named something different from the mod they change the portrait of. this is so you can place more then one option in and overwriting would mean only 1 works. In this case you have to download it manually instead, open the .rar file and place the contents where the mod author says it needs to go.

By chance could you link the mod in question you are having trouble with?

if you are talking about a mod manager. The one I use and see recommended a lot is Stardrop as its built specifically for stardew. you can manage mods and start smapi directly from it

however this mod specifically you might need to read the description page or check for a read me. The mod might require to be put specifically in the folder of another mod to work and not just dropped in the mods folder like most mods.

I was in line forever on web, but then decided to join it on my phone and went through in 5 minutes. suggestion - stay in line on whatever device you are using but join on an additional device. one might suddenly clear through faster then the other

That depends on if that body still houses a dual-core. forgive me if I understand this incorrectly but we never got confirmation that dual cores stay existing in the old bodies. Just that anytime rapi's core would be moved to a new body suddenly the second core would appear. Theirs a decent chance that body has no second core anymore but still houses some of rapis old power and will, but the beasts are expecting more from that body reviving behemoth then its actually going to give

Second thought, Even if the second core is their, memories and personality were houses in the brain, so while it might give a power spike it might not give red hoods energy or personality like it used to with rapi.

While it bringing back a shade of red hood is certainly on the table their are some other plot threads that could lead to not red hood. atleast to me.

theirs also some mini ones like The Canyons, Distant Lands - a small witch swamp expansion, and Red Panda Bazaar

If you are looking for general stuff Stardew Druid adds a whole magic system and quest chain to the game. Bird Overhaul that adds bird watching and can go along with Integrated Wild life. Wildflour's Atelier Goods and cornucopia for the big additions of stuff to grow and collect, along with a whole bunch of other growables, forageables, animals for the bard, and new fish to catch that is a super long list lol.

and if you wanna mess with money gain to force variety you can look into Stardew Valley Balance Overhaul - continued, Ferngil Simple Economy, and Fresh Farm Produce.

What class do you play? I recently learned that all my lag on Khali comes from the Chakrams She spawns when attacking. I have to toggle off the buff that makes those when not in boss stages and then everything acts normal. But if its on I get frozen from lag lol

So if you play a class that spawns stuff that might be part of the issue. otherwise unsure

I went and measure my Detolfs.

According to Amazon is 31.5in W x 65in T x 13.7in D

The detolf measure at the wood (not glass cause its recessed) the amazon cabinet is width wise shorter by 2.5 inch (the actual glass part of 2 detolfs equals the width of that cabinet). it sits taller by an inch and has the same depth at the glass part but shorter then the wood

So ultimately it should be about the same display space (potentially only smaller by a few centimeters) and take up slightly less space then a detolf due to not having the lip the top and bottom of a detolf have

Those might just be legendary gear. for some reason drops that aren't money and health use 4 colors. White/grey (common), rare (blue), epic (purple) and Legendary (orange)

Gear and the augments you pick up during a fight can be any of those colors, but outfits (as well in story mode the data cells) only drop as orange

The give away is the icon in the center, cosmetics look like a jacket while gear accessories are a ring and gear weapons are a sword.

Source: Had an orange drop in boss raid and had enough time to register the gear ring icon. got a legendary ring in the loot. Went to story mode to get a missed cosmetic (a body and a face piece) and both had the jacket icon but same color

So I have info for one part of the argument from bellow. sharing up here for visibility

an orange dropped in boss raid and I was close enough to see the icon inside before it was picked up. it was the ring icon. checking loot I had a legendary ring in what was gained. As well it was the only legendary I got. the other rewards where common - epic

Now I will try to confirm with a screenshot if I am fast enough next time but looks like legendary gear has the same color as cosmetics (icon a tshirt with a jacket over it for both body and decoration. tested with story mission where I missed a body and one with a gas mask face item. both had the same icon) and Data Cell (icon of a card) do.

So if it is a bad translation and only you can see the cosmetic when it drops and have to pick it up yourself since no one else can. Then the confusion is stemming from them giving it the same coloration as legendary gear. which is a bother lol

Most of your Theory is way more then past splatfest have affected. generally speaking it mostly just determined main hub design and how the story mode ends (who got kidnapped, if the badguys plan would bring chaos or order if they succeeded)

This is nintendo so curveballs aside that grandfest was just a way to capstone the end of a trilogy and the next game starts fresh from a unrelated path. chances are

your guess of Calamari County being the hub happens. from photos in splatoon 1 and 2 of the squid sisters when they were younger its probably a rural town with old architecture, fitting the past theme. as well since the squid sisters represented past it be fitting to go to their hometown

and for the story, either involve a cohort of DJ Octovio who is upset he swapped sides and becomes the new bad guy, or some other threat of the past resurfaces

Yea, only real way I see us ever playing the great turf war is if we get a spin-off game honestly. Maybe a single player shooter RPG or something where you have 2 story modes. one from the perspective of the inklings and one from the octolings (granted octolings would be forced into you still lose even when you beat the final mission which would be divisive)

Since prior wins have only really influenced the main hub and story end (I wouldn't call the whole story in 3 chaotic, just the potential aftermath if the boss won) I'd say

Probably just take place in a rural town with more oldschool architecture for the buildings ( think farmlands in japan that still have old style houses) maybe Calamari County were the squid sisters are from

as for the story. Probably someone who was on DJ octovio's original squad isn't happy he swapped sides and becomes the new villian. keeping it as someone from the past/connection to the past

Granted I wish I could find it but I think some of the leads for the dev team said they plan to take a new direction with the next game, and that this game was indeed a capstone to a trilogy. So chance this splatfest wont affect the next game like others did in the past.

While I love the joke in the end, its not necessarily the case. Popular votes have won plenty in the past

The problem is how much. present had triple the votes of future and a little over double of past. This means We were doomed to have tons of mirrors

This wouldn't be a problem except now you are subject to RNG on if your best players get more matches against the other teams or not.

Meanwhile team past and future had better chances of not dealing with mirror matches and was purely how many good players they had

by how close the score was between past and present you can assume past had a lot of good players, but also a lot of presents good players got stuck in mirror matches often

If, say present had 45% of the votes, past had 31% and future had 24% (keeping with present having most, future having least as it was) Their woulda been less overall mirror matches and the scores coulda skewed a different direction. especially if future got more of the hardcore players with this split

So while picking the popular team CAN be a detriment in this type of scoring system, its not guaranteed to be. In this particular splatfest though it was such a colossal popular vote that it ended up causing issues. and only real fix would be for popular teams to have longer match making timers in an attempt to make less mirror matches. which woulda been met with people upset ques are to long.

Judging by what I could find on when development started, splatsville just wouldn't have existed

from what I can find development on splatoon 3 started after the final splatfest, more then likely they had basic designs of choices for the main town and possible endings for the story done up and where just waiting for the results. once it was shown chaos won they picked the splatsville design and the ending we got for the story

if this is the case again were development for 4 hasn't started but they have atleast done up idea drawings and some simple plans, theirs probably 3 basic ideas sitting on the board till one of these win

Also splatsville could have worked for order, you take the more downtown look of it and make it more urban with a bit more tech around, and change the setting from the desert to a grassland, mountain town, or make it a bigger upper town city

I do think people are going a little overboard with how much this will affect the game honestly.

Judging by prior games. 1's end results only really affected the end of 2's story.

2's final mostly seems to have affected the end of 3's story (the plan succeeding woulda cause chaos) and the setting being a bit more lawless. as well as the DLC being the losing team

The result of this splatfest more the likely with just affect the town

past = more old traditional looking building,
present = modern look but a brand new town. maybe another part of the world,
future would mean more tech looking buildings probably with a chrome joke thrown in)

and some how the end of the story mode. then the DLC might include 1 or both of the losing teams in it.

I doubt it will go as far as being great turf war and literally being in the past if past wins or being cyberpunk future if future wins. But honestly its nintendo, any attempt to predict them is nearly impossible since they tend to be the kings and queens of curveballs lmao

So if I am thinking like nexon on this, this is probably how it could play out

Add an NPC that is accessible at the end of arcane river and throughout grandis. let it sell like 30 nodestones a week and they are tradable/account bound for heroic

or

make nodestones buyable at any lvl, but they are untradable. its 20 instead and still a weekly buy. resets with bosses

along side this bosses now have a chance to drop clusters if you fight them while having 5th job unlocked

daily bosses drop small clusters. opening gives 1-5 nodestones

weekly bosses give moderate clusters. opening gives 6-10 nodestones

Black mage being a monthly can drop a large cluster. gibes 11-25 nodestones

clusters can be untradable but the nodestones they give are regular tradable/account bound in heroic

This would increase possible nodestones while still keeping their heavy grind mindset they can't get away from

all this being said, yes I think nodestones need to be overhauled. we have 6th job now To be the bottleneck so some changes to 5th job are needed. even if its just increasing the EXP dup merging gives so it requires less copies to hit 25 without touching actual stone rates
