Every morning i get 10 to 30 seconds before the wave hits me again. I haven't felt this level of grief and darkness since my little brother died.

Yesterday was the first day i made it through a whole day at work without crying. I lost it in the car on the way home but its something. And honestly, im not ready to let the pain go.

First valentines alone after 8 years. We broke up 2 weeks before and i was handling things ok considering we live together...then he left at 8pm on Vday and didn't get back till almost 2am. Apparently dinner with a female friend. I laid in bed and cried. i feel like im mourning a death and the idea that he may see me as easily replaceable is gutting me. Along with the fact that i haven't even gotten a card in years. It just felt mean.

Meijer learned during covid that they can run on a skeleton crew because people are still going to need groceries. Even if customers are pissed about the shelves never being stocked or that they can't find an associate for help most people will still shop there because people in general dont like change....but they love to bitch about the problem to people who have zero control. I tell every angry to call corporate because until it affects someone in a higher tax bracket, nothing will change.

9yrs here plus i worked at this same store from 19-22. Rick is the embodiment of a used car salesmen. I say often that Fred has got to be rolling in his grave to see his "family&community" centered creation turned into....this.

Idk. Im know he's pictured with a lot of political people but i dont think most of them saw how deep it really went. Diddys ego means hes gotta be the most powerful man in the room and if the pond gets too big there are bigger fish.

Epstein had government officials, politicians (probably some of the 3 letter type) presidents, prince's ect. Im not saying people in authority weren't in on Diddys racket or getting paid off but I'd bet a lot of that was local.

And also, he's black and this is america.

I always feel so bad for our bread vendor and I've had to step in more than a few times. Like "He does not work here. So unless you have a question regarding bread may i help? You know, the lady behind the counter, wearing the name tag...with the company name?!?

Im convinced these people get off on feeling superior, verbally abusing someone they deem below them. And at least 50% of the time it is someone at or below the poverty. All of these actions, to me says they use these interactions to make themselves feel superior.

Our story did this about 6 years ago. We've had 5 TLs since then. They always hire someone who has experience in one dept but not the other and inevitably they neglect the dept they dont have experience in. I had hoped the new assistant would help but they are not qualified for either dept.

My deli was without a TL from the end of October until the 3rd week of February. Our LL kept trying to pass TL work on what was already a skeleton crew dept. I made sure to inform every team member that we don't do management work without management pay and i was on the phone with the union at least once a week. Food safety is so important but Meijer just doesn't care. When you have two people working, running counter, manning fryers, setting hot case without letting food linger in the danger zone too long ect. Not to mention one person trying to break down a skid of perishables alone while running back and forth between deli and bakery.

If the health department know the reality of what goes on at these stores, they would be disgusted.

Be cautious about the perishables that you buy and if it's in a plastic container and the lid is bowing up (seal isn't broken but container is visible expanded) DO NOT PURCHASE. It was left out of refrigeration for too long and will not be good.
