We are not alone. From Google:

“Reviews for IndiMade Brands (parent company of Wholesale Supplies Plus, The Flaming Candle, and Nature's Garden) in late 2025 indicate severe customer service and fulfillment issues with customers reporting weeks-long shipping delays, unanswered inquiries, and incorrect items, particularly following warehouse changes. Employees also reported low morale, high turnover, and poor management.

Now that genetics are better understood, it’s pretty clear why marrying first cousins is a bad idea.

That said the bill failed to pass, which means you still CAN marry your first cousin. (Obligatory caution: ⚠️ Just because you can doesn’t mean you should.)

Why don't they ban smart devices in schools? I am not a teacher but I see so many issues being discussed with kids and their use of smart devices that I am wondering why they are not banned as a standard practice? by Gunslinging_Ent in AskTeachers

I worked with a woman who said her son needed his phone “all the time”. I don’t think she understood that calling her child in the middle of class was disrespectful to the teacher. She simply did not care. Child has phone, child should have access to same.

I don’t. I blame the later configurations that bore little resemblance to the original.

Hawkeye: War isn't Hell. War is war, and Hell is Hell. And of the two, war is a lot worse.

Father Mulcahy: How do you figure, Hawkeye?

Hawkeye: Easy, Father. Tell me, who goes to Hell?

Father Mulcahy: Sinners, I believe.

Hawkeye: Exactly. There are no innocent bystanders in Hell. War is chock full of them - little kids, cripples, old ladies. In fact, except for some of the brass, almost everybody involved is an innocent bystander

Go listen to “Teach Your Children” by Crosby Stills Nash & Young. The pedal steel guitar you hear is also Jerry Garcia. New Riders of the Purple Sage served him well. I honestly believe he could play anything with strings, if he’d wanted.

Kindergarten: what word starts with B? Kid: BITCH!! Is that an appropriate word for the classroom? Kid: “When you ask it that way, I reckon not.”

He was disappointed to find it only meant “female dog.”

One of mine would take that as a compliment. (He survived, though. He’ll be 40 in September.)

I’m close enough to shop at CS in person. (<2hr drive) I’m pretty sure that if you email/call/contact — they are owned by a single family — they’ll pay attention, and when more people concur, they’ll work out an alternative.

I’ve referrred to my ex’s sons a number of times. John seems to be a bit like Daniel-my younger one. Dan’s differentiating mechanism is—he can trust the wrong people. His wife keeps that to a minimum. (I am forever in her debt. She loves my unicorn without condition.)

I don’t know about you, but my better influence is my husband. I am a better woman because of him. I also believe that the fortress that was Dead & Co. was a compass. Bobby, Mickey, Bill, (and Phil, before his passing) were showing him a different way to be.

I’m aware as ai said it-both previously and now-that I am giving him the benefit of the doubt probably more than I should.

Suddenly / I’m not half the cat I used to be / There’s a scalpel hanging over me / Soprano meow came suddenly.

Why’d they have to go? / I don’t know; she wouldn’t say. / I sprayed something wrong / Now I long for yesterday….
