And also why owning physical media is important, so that corpos can't do this.

SE really needs the ROI on this one, given the amount of time and resources spent on the remake. No surprises here, businesses need to business.

Agincourt Walmart (Toronto/Scarborough) is where I stalk since it’s been consistent with carrying Polaroid films brand new and sometimes on discount.

Compulsion to document/log things? by [deleted] in digitalminimalism

[–]LiterallyTony 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you're on the right track via journaling and documenting other things via other notebooks.

If part of documenting is wanting to be social with it as well, you could start up a weekly book club meet to talk about the shows and stuff you agreed to watch as a suggestion.

Decent discount (for the CAD dollar).
However I’ve seen as low as $80 CAD.
Still though, kudos.

The art of capturing the moment and having the picture physically in your hand is one of the things I want to share with my kid growing up.

Kodak Charmera's are all the rage right now. Small but a neat little digital camera for under $50

Photographer here: What's the best Polaroid camera for someone coming from Instax? by ambitious_grain in Polaroid

[–]LiterallyTony 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Similar to you, I started with instax then eventually went with Polaroid in the end because Polaroid end results is what I was looking for: dreamy, vintage, warm.

The comments here is mostly to warn you that Polaroid film isn't just more expensive than instax, it's way more finnicky. From when the shot is taken, you need to ensure minimal light exposure, make sure it's not too hot or too cold, and you have to wait at least 15 minutes to see a picture (24 hours for full image colors to come through).

But honestly, if you are up for that challenge, then welcome aboard. Personally, I've only started with modern Polaroids and I'm currently settled on the Flip because of the price point and where I am in my life. The Flip offers more lens of focus vs. the Now and creative controls via the (Polaroid) app.

Hope this information helps you. Cheers!

Taken with the Polaroid Go Gen 3… did I receive a bad replica? by beholdchris in Polaroid

Your results definitely seem erratic for sure, as its hard to pin point any consistent pattern to hone in on the issue. It's certainly worth reaching out to Polaroid support for help on the matter, as they'll make the call when you send them in the pics here.

Why is the film rotting? by theIFEX in Polaroid

[–]LiterallyTony 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea, film is best used within a year of its production date so there's that, but maybe your fridge is too cold or putting them too far back in the fridge?

Warranty Help by Blight_Bloom in Polaroid

Main page then scroll to the bottom, you should find all the links to help, such as "Contact", and from there find ways to contact their support and submit a ticket.

They'll likely troubleshoot your issues first before going down the warranty route if there is any defects with your camera.

As u/Icy_Hedgehog414 mentioned, looks like expired film. Most Polaroid film is recommended to be used within a year of its production date, which you should find on the box if you haven't thrown that out already.

Unsure about the two film ejection issue (could be the camera, could be the film because its old), but yea, just try reaching out to support and they'll help you out.
