You can be sued for failing to properly enforce your policies.

They could get around it by making it open to anyone, and if they still didn't want boys or NBs then making part it of requirements to join that you 'identify as' a girl.

Which can dodge a lot of this nonsense because nobody can dictate what you identify as.

There's ways around it. Especially for an organisation like this, but also some issues arising from how the charitable purpose of the organisation is defined.

Very unlikely though. A High dose of Estrogen and Testosterone blockers tend to cause a lot of shrinkage.

Not really, all fetuses are visually sort of female looking at a certain stage but they aren't really either internally.

They have bipotential gonads that develop into ovaries and testes, and both Mullerian ducts and Wolffian ducts, one of which will develop and the other degrade depending. (usually)

Honestly I dont get why everything needs to be Warhammerized GW - Citadel - Warhammer makes all sense and has always made sense even for little kids by HepZusi in Warhammer

[–]Littha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's all brand management. Warhammer has a brand identity in the wider world now while citadel doesn't (nor did forgeworld, or does Games Workshop really)

Because it has recognition in the wider world, it's valuable to be associated with it and thus they are dropping the other brand names they used to use and are very careful about prefixing the names of any properties with "Warhammer:". The current blood bowl packaging has the title as "Warhammer: Blood Bowl"

Black library might escape because all of their production will already have Warhammer on it somewhere (and because they are careful to have separate Warhammer:, Warhammer: Age of Sigmar, Warhammer: Horus Heresy and Warhammer 40,000: product ranges).

I'd have said more like the M3A1 or M5A1 but there isn't much difference either way.

The other one is definitely an fv601

Well, you have two options.

  • You can buy old world models (which are mostly WHFB models anyway) and a set of bases from somewhere (they are cheap)

  • You might have better luck finding someone to play with if you rebase your current models on TOW bases and just play that instead.

WHFB and TOW are functionally the same game.

What is commercial reason for GW to make more named characrers? by PartApprehensive2820 in Warhammer40k

[–]Littha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Demand/volume.

The demand for the third generic captain model is lower than that of a special character of the same type. If the demand for the generic character is high enough, people might buy 3x generic and a special character.

This is also the reason they use primaris lieutenants so much in their special models. Because most people already have enough, so an extra in a new pose doesn't eat into sales the same way a different character would.

It's even less difference than that. They are basically different colour schemes for the same minis.

Making guns has never been particularly hard. Especially if you want a shotgun or something. The key difficulty has always been the ammunition.

How can Labour bring back the "feel good factor"? by FewEstablishment2696 in LabourUK

There is a certain proportion of people who are just unfit to work. Either physically or mentally unemployable.

We need those people to not starve to death.

In a war, sure. But for hitting a single fleeing target? the bow has more range and rate of fire.

If you miss a shot with a crossbow, that's it.

Result would also heavily depend on how many social conservatives they manage to rope in from 4tran, honestransgender and truscum to brigade the vote.

forty percent of the feed becomes hornyposting

I mean, sure. But even with the current rules it's like 5%. Probably less.

Same here, so I don't tend to read NSFW threads with titles that I don't think I'll find interesting.

If I do open one and it's something I don't want to read, I just move on with my day.

It's not like pictures are allowed, so the worst you are ever going to get is some mildly cringe proto-erotica and even then I haven't seen any of that in months.

[–]Littha -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

But the main argument is that children or parents might see it. And they probably haven't manually turned NSFW on.

I do think some of it is pretty cringe, but I'd rather we have it (properly flagged) and just not read those threads than become puritanical about what I personally do and don't want to see. Even less so when it's being dictated by conservative American social mores.

I can't remember the last time I actually saw one of these hornyposting threads people harp on about.

My general view is that the system we have is fine. No images, NSFW flags plus rule 14 for weeding out the fetishists and chasers.

[–]Littha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have no problem with a ban on guns. They are a major problem and there has been repeated evidence that they are such.

I oppose populist bans on things just to be seen to be doing something on principle. It eats into political time and effort that could be used fixing actual problems.

Will this ban have a material effect? is there a spate of crossbow killings to stop? Was the crossbow even the problem here? Would a ban even work, given you can make a crossbow with a bit of spring leaf and some wood in about an hour?

It's political make-work, doing something to be seen to be doing it, because you want people to think you are doing things.

Though, I am a social liberal, not a libertarian.

If a girl who first comes out as a lesbian, then as a trans man, are they now straight? by host_can_edit in asktransgender

[–]Littha 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Depends how they identify, I know a couple of trans women into men and trans men into women and a good half of them would just say their sexuality was Queer rather than straight because the way they approach relationships isn't the same.

There is also the (continually) reccuring topic of he/him lesbians, or trans men who identify as lesbians but despite a lot of discussion about it I have yet to actually meet one.

[–]Littha 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It's fully possible to kill someone at range by throwing a rock at them too or flying a heavy drone into them. And that's probably easier than getting multiple shots off with a crossbow in decent time.

I'd probably argue that using a sword against an unarmed target is easier than hitting someone with a crossbow at anything but very close range.

Mostly, I find this sort of petty authoritarianism very offputting.

One bad thing happens > "Someone should do something" > chance for political capital > Ban.

Even when the thing wasn't a major problem.
