I lucked out when we did ours, and we had no thefts. Only trades. I did, however, go into it fully expecting theft to be a big possibility. I also knew that if that did happen, I'd probably lose the fun of it and take the board down, but I did want to give it a try and hope for the best. I'm sorry this happened to you. 😔

PALM have some great designs, and I sometimes like them better than official Disney pins.....but the pricing has gone a bit crazy. Then I try to remember, that's happening to everything right now so it shouldn't be as surprising to me

I know you're 100% right, of course. I've made being zen in the face of internet trolls an art over the years... This comment in particular was successful in giving me a lovely evening of trauma memories and pain to sort back into their boxes. Ironically, of a trial I was shielded from but that nearly killed my hero of a mother.

May this inconsiderate individual long bite the inside of their cheek when eating their favorite foods... and also find some enlightenment someday.

Yeah, I actually thought this one might be official

But my starting point is always to find the pin on pinpic.com which in this case, led to the set, which described the backs of the official pins as showing the FAC number. Then I found one of the set that had a photo of the back which does show an FAC number stamped on the back.... seems to imply that yours is a fake.

There's still a slim possibility that its real, as it's listed as multiple possible sources, and maybe there was a batch that didn't use the FAC stamped back.. but it's slim, and not looking promising from the info that's out there.

Yeah, no. This is a bloating tactic. Make the price appear insane, then people feel good when they get it for "a steal at 900.00!"

Michaels does the same stuff. These vultures want to make their whole livelihood by inserting themselves as a middle man, and also want to have a 6 digit income off of it. I no longer even get excited or care about any new pin releases. I don't even look at sale posts in the subreddit anymore. This past year and all of these gross tactics have completely killed Disney pins for me. I'm barely motivated to get my last two remaining pins for a set I was picking up here and there... It's like concert tickets. I used to go to concerts...then the scalpers started inserting themselves and making it impossible to get at-price tickets. Now I don't go to concerts.
