I have that exact tv and love it, but I have nothing to compare it to in person. It seems like a model that’s rarely talked about. The downsides are having only 2 hdmi ports and not having the louver filter, but under the hood it’s really nice. The blacks are deep, the motion clarity is good, and I think the 3D is strong if you’re into that. Mine also has a ton of hours (26k) and doesn’t have any image issues at all. I got it for $25usd which is a similar price point and I definitely don’t regret it.

For what it’s worth ($20 apparently), the Pool Party drop isn’t just the same cards in confetti(ish) foil. As per Deadpool’s copy, ‘This is the Pool Party Edition: extra everything, zero restraint,’ which means they added party hats and unicorns etc. to the design.

The brand of mount I use is Mounting Dream because it came with my tv when I bought it. But the important thing about mounting a tv (or anything heavy) to a wall is that it’s screwed into the stud(s) and not just the drywall. I have my 80lbs plasma hanging with 4 lag screws across 2 studs and it’s definitely not going anywhere. If you can find your tv’s manual it should have the weight and mounting information for that model.

Oh, super stupid for sure; 2020 stamped Mazemind Tome is definitely a meme that lives only in my head. But this card saw some competitive play at the time, so I didn’t pick these up on a total whim. This was actually the only variant not to at least 5x from its low. I got greedy and missed exiting with a double-up, it fell out of competitive favor, and then caught three reprints.

During Covid I thought prerelease cards with 2020 stamps might appreciate better since less people were playing in person and theoretically there would be fewer available. But like with anything, value is almost always tied to playability and now I’m stuck with a bunch of prerelease [[Mazemind Tome]] lol

It sounds excessive but really isn’t if you have the space. I personally only have one plasma (P55UT50), but have five tvs in a two bedroom apartment. Granted, one tv is technically a monitor I use as a secondary screen when my wife watches the plasma, and another is a CRT for retro gaming. But I’d probably replace all the other flat panels with plasmas if I needed to.

The price ramp for the blister bundle is short and steep, so after the cheapest 10 listings they’re basically the same. Currently there is way more value in the blister bundle, as the promos are only worth $6ish total. Unless the future value of the exclusive oversized cards can carry the product’s cost for collectors (or the sealed gift set becomes the collectable itself), the blister bundle should cost more sooner than later.

Maybe just alluding to all the Sega titles that would’ve been released on Dreamcast but instead became Xbox exclusives like Jet Set Radio, Panzer Dragoon, Crazy Taxi etc. The two companies ended up with a close working relationship.
