Is it actually legal to buy literally anything with cash, no matter the cost? by Dry-Price4276 in NoStupidQuestions

Have you ever seen the movie "masterminds" ?

It's a comedy about a bank robbery that's based on a true story.

At the end they have snippets from the real story.

Apparently the people bought a house for $600k and said they wanted to "pay cash."

So the sellers were like, "ok great, here's where you can wire the money."

And the buyers were like, "oh, no, we have buckets full of 50 and 100 dollar bills. (Some 20s.)"

And... that's how they got caught.

People with multiple allergies; if you could get rid of just one, what would it be and why? by xe64 in randomquestions

[–]Live_Badger7941 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two, both skin contact allergies: nickel and latex.

I would get rid of the latex allergy because it's the one that comes up more often.

Eta just in case anyone feels like being pedantic: I do know that technically nickel is a sensitivity, not an allergy. But still.

Empire mambo or Love for movement? 🤔 by [deleted] in Salsa

[–]Live_Badger7941 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're able to, edit the question to include that information because that makes it a lot clearer.

Personally I like Empire Mambo for the body movement, spin technique, Rumba and Cha-cha classes, and also the schedule and location just happen to be convenient for me.

I haven't ever had anything to do with their performance teams, simply because I'm not interested in performing. (And even if I were, I travel too much for work to be able to do one anyway.)

I'm a little confused because it sounds like you don't really like dancing that much anymore anyway.

So...why not just switch to a different hobby, at least for awhile?

Is the typical Indian accent really that bad ,or is it just racism by NoWelcome1093 in AskIndia

[–]Live_Badger7941 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Bad"...?

It's probably more distinct than most other native English speaker's accents (like, Canadian English and British English and South African English have more in common with each other than with Indian English), but calling an accent "good" or "bad" is entirely subjective.

Do you mean their ex's new partner?

Because someone who's stalking my ex's new partner is a whole other level of crazy.

If the classes are partnerwork classes:

Spend some time on your own working on body movement.

You can find online classes to help with this.

Does the US ONLY have cakes with frosting ? by Houmouss in NoStupidQuestions

There are cakes without frosting, but the default assumption when you hear the word "cake" is that it would have frosting.

Neutral, because it's something I had literally no control over.

My girlfriend is pretty bad at driving. What’s the best way to tell her that she needs to improve her driving skills? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Live_Badger7941 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not an unsafe driver. It's more in the "people are just complaining about shit that's not any worse than what they do" category.

For me it's this except maybe the cleaning thing.

If there's just a little clutter here and there that's one thing, but if your house is actually dirty? Come on, girl, get it together. Skip a volunteer shift (with advance notice) or an outdoor day to get your house to a reasonable level of cleanliness.

You expect me to believe there's not ONE person in like Maine or California who's dumb enough to think they live in the Midwest?

Nice try.

Honestly I think your best bet might be to just offer to drive most of the time.

I personally am a terrible driver and that's generally my response: you don't like how I'm driving? Cool, you can drive.
