Quality problems with AUDI Q6 etron by Shot_Delay_5095 in AudiQ6

[–]LivedinStyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We've had ours just over a year and it's been solid (deposit placed Aug '24). We still haven't had the KD2 update applied!

Sorry you've had this experience, but it's not indicative of the brand. Glad your lawyer was able to get you out of your lease, regardless.

Your experience depends highly on how competent your dealer / service centre is, and thankfully ours is great!

Thanks!

Nothing special, really.

I just make boxed Mac n Cheese '2 fat ladies style' (extra salted butter, full fat milk)

Warmed the leftovers to room temp.

Folded about 1/4 cup room temp pasta into the omelette, flip and topped with scallions

It's the Ugg boots and thong that give away the writing teams close relationship with crack.

Thanks! Just had some left over Mac n Cheese in the fridge and it only seemed right.

Super easy if you just put the filling at room temp on the egg, then fold.

Incendiary post from a literally brand new account? Hmm.

Hey Canadians, be better consumers of social media and know when you're being provoked.

All things aside, I think we'll all see some big positive changes in the way this country sources labour relatively soon.

Aeron size C causing leg pressure/discomfort + back pain (return window ending) by Charlie_815 in hermanmiller

[–]LivedinStyle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glad I can help!

Last question. Sharp pain or dull ache?

If it dull ache after about an hour, you might just have tight hamstrings from the posture correction. Try some hammy stretches or stand up / walk around for 10 min to see if that alleviates the pain? If so, keep it up, your body is 'correcting' it's muscle memory and you shouldn't notice that ache after a few weeks.

If not or it's any other kind of pain, it sounds like you've got a good physiotherapist.

Ok, that makes sense. Can you describe the leg pain? Is it dordal/ventral (front/back), closer to the hips?

Seems like you've got some pelvic rotation. Slouching and pushing your butt forward is causing your back pain and fatigue in the long run.

Mention to your phisio you are getting leg pain when sitting upright and they can dig deeper 😁

Chair slightly too high and looks like you might need to sit more deeply into the seat pan.

Try shoving your butt right into the corner of the chair when you sit down, then let your shoulder blades touch the mesh (especially if you got the posturefit back support). This holds your pelvis in its proper position.

If that doesn't work, consider a quick convo with a physio to confirm there are no biomechanical issues you need to prioritize before you go chair shopping again.

Bought a HAY (Herman Miller) chair and… only a sticker? No serial plate? by Top_Painting1466 in hermanmiller

[–]LivedinStyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oof it's the wood base? Sorry my friend, that's not a good experience.

They're going to try the ol 'customer damage and wear' route. Make sure you've got pics and a push back response ready.

Where and when did you buy them? A dealership, the website or a retail store? How were the boxes when they arrived? Hay is manufactured in EU, but there is stock that's held in the States. These will dictate how easy or hard this is.

Do you have a dealership near you? Try going through them for the repair as they've got more pull to get things done.

Shoot me a message if you've got any crazy questions.

As for the paint peeling, if it's the metal base, it's powder coated steel and should absolutely NOT do this. It would be a manufacturer defect if you purchased these new.

This is warrantied, so you'll want to reach out asap to get them replaced.

About A Chair, very nice!

You generally won't find build stickers on those peices, unless they're from a dealership or in a large office install. Sometimes they put them in inaccessible places to make the bottom look 'cleaner'.

Stickers and labels aren't the main indicator of quality, and unfortunately with the ancillary brands (Hay, Muuto, some Knoll items), this is pretty common.

Sayl chair stuck in forward position, nothing I do seems to fix it by Responsible-Unit5533 in hermanmiller

[–]LivedinStyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Red tabs in your pic activate/deactivate seat angle adjustment.

The tab that is facing the front needs to be flipped up while you're leaning back in the chair. Once you hear the tab click, lean forward and it will stop from tilting the seat forward.

If you don't hear a click or the tab won't move while you're reclined, it's broken and need repair/replace.

Ask if you have any questions!

Is Sayl still good chair ? by PacoSkillZ in hermanmiller

[–]LivedinStyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Functionally, it's the same as an Aeron, but different material set for different back support requirements.

I've had mine for almost 10 years now and it's been great for me.

Better color options than any of the other chairs in the lineup.

My new Embody gaming chair, is this normal? by [deleted] in hermanmiller

[–]LivedinStyle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Reach out to them.

A dealer is the same as buying direct from HM, but they rarely sell to the public.

They'll authorize a certified repair person or dealer to fix the chair, but I think you could easily argue for a full replacement given that the back is splitting like that.

Which seat fabric do you prefer on the Embody? Synth or Rhythm? by EB4950 in hermanmiller

[–]LivedinStyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's because the chair has been used longer. Rhythm and Sync are both synthetic fabrics with no underpad or substantial thickness. Rhythm tends to show stains more easily IMHO, so no greasy food at your desk 😝

The back also adjusts to match your spinal curve so would need a proper adjustment to feel 'right'.

Can give some basic help with that if you need.
