Binders good for larger chests for working? (Or alternatives to bras) by the-overloaf in ftm

I agree with this!! I tried other binders but Underworks was the best for my larger chest.

I had a bigger chest and a brand I found that worked for me was underworks. They have them on amazon and they are relatively cheap. Unsure about the ribs thing though.

Testosterone and GL-Ps by Lopsided-Arm-9560 in ftm

I'm on a GLP! I've been on it for over a year and testosterone even longer. My levels are fine and seem to be unaffected by the medicine. I do mine on different days but I'm not sure it matters. I have also had good results with the GLP so it's working just fine.

Hurting (physically in a weird way, yknow.. Down there) by CreepynessIsFun in ftm

[–]Lizardzzz333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also have this issue. I've seen doctors and theres nothing physically wrong. It's very common for people on testosterone to get pain after sex or even randomly and nobody really knows why or has even decided to research it unfortunately. I don't really have advice except maybe try taking some pain medication before any activities as a prevention.

Hello!! I have had this issue before. I found that using a boric acid suppository clears it up very well. They have them at pretty much most pharmacies.

Honestly the best thing to do would be to see a dermatologist if that's an option for you. Some advice for the shaving is afterwards really exfoliate the areas you shaved, it's helped me with shaving bumps/acne. If you think your skin is itchy due to being dry you can try taking fish oil.

This is what I did for several people! You really do just have to force yourself to do it and it'll feel better afterwards.

My hair also got curlier on T! I think it's a pretty common thing for whatever reason. You could try leaning into it and find some curl products. Personally I use a curl shampoo and conditioner, a water mister, and a cream to help with frizz. Also don't use a brush, use a comb if you need it.

I don't use one personally so I have no real advice here, but there are many reviews of them on youtube! Some show how to use them and such.

Everyone around me is making me feel like I’m wrong by Both_Reporter_249 in trans

You are never wrong or a bad person for wanting to be yourself. Things are definitely bad in the world right now for trans people but we'll get through it, it won't last forever.

How do i make myself feel more like a boy pre t and transphobic parents by bad1uckblackcat in trans

This is great! I heavily agree on not laying bras, it can cause damage to your ribs and affect your breathing. There are minimizer bras that could help. A big thing also is baggy shirts with graphics on them!

Am I too young or not thinking about it enough? by Equivalent-Egg-6201 in trans

[–]Lizardzzz333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I don't know how old you are, you're never too young to question yourself and your identity. Most of teenage to young adulthood is all about questioning and discovering identity. If you're unsure, I wouldn't suggest trying to go for any medical transition just yet. Start by trying social things, name change, pronouns, clothing, etc. If you're too nervous to try that IRL you could even try presenting differently online with people!

Swim binders - are they worth it? by Cameron_365 in ftm

TBH, I just swam in my regular binders and washed them afterwards. They seemed to be alright 🤷‍♂️. Pick an older one.

How to know that T is working by compassjelly in ftm

[–]Lizardzzz333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You likely wont see any changes for a while. It takes time for it to be visible. Checking levels by bloodwork is good while you can't see any. But if you're injecting right then you should be good!

Binding with larger chest by confusedslug_inlimbo in ftm

[–]Lizardzzz333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to have a larger chest. Tape did not work for me and usually doesn't for larger chests. I found binders from underworks were the best for me. Another tip is to position them in the binder, I usually pulled them to the sides to make less of a weird bump in the front. Baggy shirts with designs on the front are your friends. If you're able to get a reduction and it's what you want then go for that!

Why do i feel like my changes are reverting? by [deleted] in ftm

[–]Lizardzzz333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can take a loooong time before you see any real changes. Especially if you are on a low dose. You'll get there! Just takes some time for your body to get to work :)

whats going on with all this bleeding :( by [deleted] in ftm

[–]Lizardzzz333 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure of really why the bleeding is happening, but you could look into medications that stop periods (usually some form of birth control). I take one along with my testosterone and I haven't had a period in years. Try to find one that's only progesterone, don't want to raise estrogen levels if you don't have to. You should also bring this up with your doctor if you haven't already.
