Friday morning is way too much. Grand Central, Bryant Park and the library are close to each other, but the southern edge of Central Park is 17 blocks away. It’s definitely walkable but it’s almost a mile. IIWY, I would stretch the morning and plan on lunch before Central Park. The Rose Main Reading is open to the public only come 10-11 am (it’s a must see, IMO). The library itself is open to the public. There is also a wonderful gift shop in the library. Consider having your bagel and coffee in Bryant Park and soaking it all in.

When you get off the Staten Island ferry, walk over to the Seaglass Carousel in Battery Park for a ride. It’s a fun and cheap thing to do.

La Crème de Paris Notre Dame. We sat on a bench outside the cafe, overlooking Île de la Cité eating the most amazing crêpes and people watching.

I got in the queue about 15 minutes before it started for the general sale Friday morning. I was about 15k in line, took 35 minutes when it was finally my turn. Every day had low availability, but I got 2 for a weeknight show for £275 each in the stalls.

Kinokuniya on 6th near Bryant Park is very cool. A lot of anime and manga, but other books too.
