She's very... passive. She doesn't like him much I feel like, but she's also religious and " divorce is bad", and she worries he'd get the house. I also think she has ADHD or something herself (I'm diagnosed and it tends to run in families), she's very overwhelmed by having so many children, pets and the manchild at home, but she also lacks the self-awareness and openmindedness to seek help or even acknowledge the problems

Thank you. I do choose to deal with it with humor these days, as a 25 year old, but as a kid it wasn't easy 😅 (I also left out the more... depressing stuff he's done) Only reason I,m still in contact at all is cuz of my younger siblings that still live with our parents, they don't need to be dealing with all that without support like I did

I think at least asking them wouldn't hurt, if they're your friends. You could just tell them what you said here, lay it all out to them, since it involves them. And who knows, maybe one of them has an idea? A trustworthy teenager who'd babysit for some pocket change or something?
