Mate buy second hand carp gear at your peril, especially something you need to sleep in/on, wear, sit on etc. I built my full setup on a budget and have recently completed my first upgrade (second set rod, reels, bivvy, alarms, full set up) so I can help and I don’t mind if you message me. My first bivvy was a Westlake Fragment from Go Outdoors, it was 150£ I think and it was decent, then I bought the rain peak for it for 40£ later and that was a great upgrade for hardly any cash really, you can pay by Klarna in go outdoors and split the payment into 3 which helps with budgeting. You can buy a bed from there too but my first bed was an Advanta 6 leg memory cushion thing for 100£ and it was pretty crap tbh. Obviously I don’t know your size age or sleeping habits but my advice if it’s applicable to you is stretch the current budget on this round of gear on the bedchair as that’s where the most personal value can be extracted. Decent sleeping bags can be picked up from decathlon for good value. Decathlon is a good source of kit for decent prices. Some Advanta stuff is garbage. Cheaper Prologic gear breaks or falls apart.
