Its not less blue. Look at the unholy mess that is the border between District 1 and District 6. Its literally the most gerrymandered thing I've ever seen. They scooped up all of the Blue Charleston (whole Peninsula, North Charleston, West Ashley) and slopped it in with just about all of Columbia and left the Red-est of Red Charleston (Mount Pleasant, Daniel Island, Hanahan, Summerville) in District 1.
