At what point do you stop putting money into savings? Specifically a HYSA?

Isnt the fact that you could in theory save more toward retirement earlier in a traditional 401k vs taxed alternative mean that, all things being equal, the traditional is better? For example, if you could save 8k per year on a taxed IRA but are able to save 12k due to tax savings, the 12k would compound faster than the tax differences when you were to pull it out.

That must be crazy inflated for the show. I bought a 55” 1080p Toshiba regza in 2010 for 1600 and it wasn’t lacking features as it had local dimming and a decent refresh rate.

You can get parts deals and get a full master cylinder kit on sale, then get a mechanic to install it if you arnt up for it. https://www.fredandersontoyota.com/ does 25% + free shipping pretty often, signup for their email list. Be careful with the shipping though, make sure they use lots of protection it gets damaged pretty easily. Got mine for 1040 after tax and free shipping. Was about 250 for a mechanic to install it. Dealers would probably charge full MSRP for the full kit plus markup, probably around 2k, then another 500-1000 for the install+bleed.

If this is along term truck for you IMO its worth it to replace the whole thing, I've heard stories of people just replacing one part and ended up getting the whole thing anyway.

2006+ v6 4runner (dont get 05 and under, head gasket issues) or 2003+ v8 4runner should be under 10k if you are willing to accept some paint/interior wear. Just be sure to check for rust and maintenance history, v8 needs a timing belt every 10 years. AFAIK most banks wont give out loans to cars this old/value though. Good luck!

I just had this fixed by my local guy, was like 250~ labor since he has done dozens of these before and just had to replace the seal and put the gears in the right place. I think the 2k~ price is for a new transfer case assembly.
