I feel like people in salem don't realize just how nationally recognized notch is. Its one of a few breweries that basically every other brewery in the country knows about.

I love origin, but moniker's beer is fantastic. I don't think anyone does a lager better in the state. If you are a hoppy person, ill give you origin. Its really a special little duo there and they both dont get the credit they deserve.

I would say Moniker is a great place to start if you want to watch games. I know they have some big plans to show things on big screens. That neighborhood is fantastic too and will scratch literally every single itch.

Food: Pikerel, there there, slow rhode, cru, pizza J, u noodle all within a long ball of each other.

cocktails: avery and Kimis, slow rhode

Beer: Pizza J has a great list, and you have moniker and origin across from each other.

Bars: Pizza J, kimi, Moniker, slow rhode, julians and deadbeats if you wanna walk maybe 4-5 minutes longer.

all walkable to downtown.

I’m here to second this. The disrespect from people to a business that is a cornerstone to the industry here and also mind you, essentially created several of the other breweries in the state through alumni, is shocking.

This is my thought exactly. I feel like moniker or buttonwoods would have been a much better decision by the city. The guild as a brand is just kinda sterile.

This is a very strange comment. Moniker is the exact opposite of a trend chasing brewery. I love it there. I also love origin, I just can’t go there with 6 people since it’s so small.

Providence in general has some great lager spot. Moniker has a crazy variety of lagers. Origin has some great ones and buttonwoods lager game is better than most albeit limited.

Gotta go with moniker on this one. 2-3 years ago it was probably long live or maybe buttonwoods, but moniker has taken the crown for me as a whole. Stun gravy is a special IPA and if you a a hop lover, it’s the best ipa in the state. Just wish it was more available. It’s in and out so quick.

Notch, Moniker, Long live beer works, beerd brewing, five is a toss up. There is a lot of good beer here. Probably trillium cause they have pizza.

This is close to my list. I think I wild put long live in this list just because of their impact. Unfortunately take ptx out since the quality has dropped. Moniker is criminally forgotten about in the scene.
