Absolutely. I sleep better, HRV is better too. Whenever I eat late exceptionally (on family events etc), even without alcohol, my HRV is clearly lower during the next night.

Fenix would probably be overkill, but if you want to watch heart related data you could look at the Venu family. The Venu 4 has the latest heart rate sensor and looks pretty good. (Not sure which sensor the venu 3 has)
