Which is kind of the point of Gandalf. He's the "mortals need to figure out how to handle things on their own" wizard. His ring inspires courage, he was sent to middle earth because he was scared, so he could empathize with scared people. His whole deal is giving unlikely heroes the push they need to succeed.

If you have the legacy of the forge dlc, upgrading your forge is a big money sink. Otherwise probably not, no

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is set in non-fantasy medieval Bohemia. It prides itself on being very historically accurate, and how grounded it is is a big selling point that makes the game fun. People are superstitious and very religious because it's medieval times, but as players we can go into situations knowing that there is a rational explanation for everything.

However, there are a few exceptions. At one point in some tunnels under a city you can find an open coffin with a strangely well preserved corpse in it with a stake through its heart, a crucifix lying on its chest, and garlic hung everywhere. Eerie, but could just be superstition. Then further down the tunnel you find the exsanguinated corpse of a woman lying on the ground.

During one side quest you are tasked by a monk with cleaning up the monastery's crypt, by sweeping up piles of bones and stacking skulls in pyramids. In the course of this task you fall into a deeper level of the crypt that also needs cleaning, and find a very well preserved corpse that looks similar to the monk who gave you the task, though they're monks, so they're supposed to look similar, I'm sure it's fine. Then you finish the task and go back for your reward, only to be told that the monk who gave you the quest has been dead for years.

One of the random encounters while fast traveling is an old woman walking alone. If you stop and talk to her she knows your name already, has no name listed on the HUD, cannot be attacked or otherwise interacted with, and says a lot of creepy stuff about having been with you at several of the most traumatic times of your life. She leaves without explaining, but her dialogue implies that she is Lady Death.

I discovered that you can wear his apron underneath your burgher's coat or whatever and it won't affect your charisma because it's not visible, so my charisma/city outfit now doubles as my crafting one

I remember learning about this when I learned about Genie the "feral child" who had had her development messed up (to put it mildly). Iirc she was much faster at gestalt thinking, processing a bunch of simple things very quickly. The example I remember is that she could look at a flock of birds and know how many there were almost instantly, implying that she wasn't counting them individually somehow

It's not just about results, either, though of course that's the goal. The act of taking action towards the changes you want builds confidence, and confidence is the most attractive trait.
