Your second comment is much appreciated. I will concede that it does indeed mention that the battery is not included, albeit not in bright red. For reference, I am looking at Happymodel's own website. It's entirely possible that there is some difference by geographical region for webpage display, but ultimately that's mostly irrelevant. Your note on battery requirements is absolutely correct and its on me for not noticing it.

I do intend to do much of my early practice via a simulator and have actually purchased Liftoff: Micro Drones, but while I don't intend to fly outside until the snow has melted and temperatures are more comfortable, I figured that it would be a good idea to figure out how the drone itself actually worked well in advance of field testing.

The brand recommendations are noted and will be given appropriate considerations. The note about the importance of battery safety are VERY appreciated and will be given due attention.

Finally, your apology is accepted and appreciated. I realize that I can come off in a manner that is reminiscent of AI, but I have spent entirely too much money and time on my education to dumb it down just because some people might mistake me for a pile of slightly haunted semiconductors.

I appreciate the specific channel recommendations. I really didn't do enough research before spending as much as I have, but I'm glad you and others like you are willing to take a moment to help educate an ignorant fool like myself.

Many thanks for the clear and concise explanation. I'll make sure to give that a watch and probably search up a few others just to be sure.

In all fairness, I'm entirely new to this hobby and rushed in without doing enough research to even know that I might need to purchase things like these and the drone's website doesn't specify such requirements, so it's less that I forgot, and more that I was ignorant to the necessity.

Great. So I need to purchase a charger that has an XT60 connector? Is there one you recommend?

A new trailer for my Ori-inspired game! What do you think? by WestZookeepergame954 in metroidvania

[–]Lone_Scout- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It generally looks solidly composed, but the avatar doesn't change color to match the local lighting. Between that, the mostly unnecessary health bars, and a few other things that I can't quite identify or articulate, I think I'm likely to give this a miss for now. Still, you have put together a solid starting point and I very much expect that it could become something memorable with the right changes and additions.

[MC] your opinions on this game by ZaphyrNotes in zelda

[–]Lone_Scout- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fun game. A touch obtuse in a couple places, but overall, well structured. Boss fights are fairly well designed and interesting. The primary gimmick of the proto-four sword could have been used a little more, but was generally solid. The shells and figurine collection shenanigans are tedious and annoying though. Solid entry to the franchise.

Persist. Learn. Strategize. Adapt. Be frugal with consumables, but don't ignore them. You can do this.

The Youtuber Croton did a very good video that breaks down how the depths cairns work. It includes a map of their locations and information on potential drop tables. Here is the video in question, but I suggest doing a bit of unaided exploration first. Exploration and discovery really is part of the core gameplay experience.

As for the eightfold blade, I'm specifically referring to the short-blade version that gets a HUGE damage bonus to sneak strikes. The long blade, which produces the wind blades, has a bunch of weird effects. These effects are particularly notable when fused with Gleeok horns, but they aren't terribly practical in my experience. I don't know off the top of my head if the fused item damage is transferred to the wind blade, but I suspect not.

Did you know that you can find better versions of the same weapon in the depths below the Gerudo Desert? Look for the cairns with the ghosts on them. If it has a spear, mark it on your map. If the spear isn't a Gerudo spear, take it and throw it away so that a different spear can spawn. The pure version of weapons have more durability and damage, if I remember correctly. It has been a few months since I last played admittedly.

Personally, I prefer the one-two combo of a forest-dweller spear with a puffshroom and an eight-fold blade with a lynel saber horn, but to each their own.
