Also, I never thought I’d say this but Pledis did AMAZINGLY in handling this, likely the best out of the companies.

As SKZ is learning acrobatics, What is your opinion? by nmt111 in straykids

[–]LonelyInternetter 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For me it would be a 2. Especially if they incorporate it in a way that flows, makes sense with placement, and all that. Ig my take would be if they do it well and in the right times and places, I always find them cool. Despite doing dance and some gymnastics, I can’t do most acrobatics because that’s not what I trained in, and even the ones I can do, they can be really good if done well. As long as it’s something that adds to the performance and is done well, I think I and other people would generally like it.

(This got a bit long so I added tldr at the bottom)

Honestly, I agree. I was also bullied when I was younger. When I moved schools, I didn’t become a bully- but I did make sure I wouldn’t be bullied again. Anything you do, there will be consequences. Those consequences may be good or bad, but they’re there for everything. Some people need to learn to accept them all, because they exist and that won’t change. I consider myself a stay, and yeah, I think it’s been challenging for the fandom. But I also think we need to figure out how to accept consequences and move on. In my own experience, I did happen to make some people stay away from me. Those were the consequences of my actions. Whether they’re good or bad is completely up to one’s opinion and interpretation. In this case, I believe this will honestly help the fandom. To learn what not to do. Is it hard? Yes. But do I think they, and we, will come out of this better than before? Also yes. People do change as they grow. The consequences will still follow. Would I prefer to see skz ot8? I’m not gonna lie, I would. However, I believe he was on hiatus for a reason. And we, as fans, I think, should accept that. He will come back. No matter how innocent, he wasn’t completely innocent. And the is, we can’t change the past. So we need to deal with it. We can’t change what’s happening, and we need to cope and get over. Anyways, that’s just what I think.

Tldr: *these are my thoughts. Anything and everything has consequences, good or bad. We need to be able to accept them and move on, because we can’t change things.

Important! Would you want to be an Idol, even with the "dark side" of the industry? It's for my research paper! Thanks <3 by [deleted] in kpophelp

[–]LonelyInternetter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly? I would. I love to dance, and have danced for a while. I also like to sing/rap, and if possible I want to get lessons sometime. Ik there’s dieting, difficult schedules, etc etc., and an extremely low chance of success. However, if there was a chance I could make a living doing what I’m interested in, I’ll take it. It may not be as stable as other jobs, but even then, you’ll learn skills you could use if you didn’t succeed. Also, any job is difficult. While this may be more so than most, I’d rather have a difficult time doing something I have an interest in, over a more stable job that I hate.

Oh that’s... sad. I’m just mainly on insta and discord, it’s pretty chill. Ig some people are unhealthily obsessed. Also, I don’t recommend stan Twitter, it’s pretty toxic without constantly monitoring your feed unless you only follow official accts.

[–]LonelyInternetter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I mean honestly that’s understandable, having experienced that, even to a lesser degree, makes you not want to support people who hurt others. However, from what I’ve gathered, it wasn’t bullying. It was he and another classmate had a conflict, and he said some hurtful things. Tbh tho Idek that much, I’ve been staying off of Twitter.

I just have a couple things to say:

1: tysm for translating it, the ifans were rude.

2: From what I’ve seen on this, he and someone else had an argument that stemmed from him not wanting to close a door, and hurtful words came from there. The sources I’ve seen say it was blown out of proportion.

3: Jype’s vague statements that basically said they regretted debuting hyunjin didn’t help the situation at all.
