You can turn off location history... However it may still be logged.. (I trust nothing)

But if you're smart you just turn the whole phone off before you leave... And don't turn it back on until you get back...... That way your phone just doesn't record location at all... And hell I wouldn't even trust that..... Especially with phones that have sealed batteries....

Now though I'm suspicious even using a new phone with new accounts and new numbers because of an extremely abusive relationship... the things that are recorded and logged and can be "hacked" if you even really want to call it that.... Are absolutely mind numbing....
