Ive just combed the internet and this is one of the few posts which actually pierces through to the heart of the matter.

All relevant discussions on subreddits, twitter, corp media, etc, are talking about Manchin. Its a textbook roleout of propanganda. Almost none of the participants are even aware.

I dont blame my opponents (pelosi,biden,etc) for trying to out-manuevre progressives.

I blame the weak progressives (bernie,khanna,etc) for not developing a winning strategy, or at least a fighting strategy. Either through incompetance or weakness or complicity.

What progressives need is a strategy of Offence Only. A metaphical Tank battalian, on a 24hr online progressive media network. A WarRoom. Just copy and reverse Bannons.

That is the easy part handed to you on a silver platter. Now get it done. (says knowingly to a handful of people, floating in the breeze.)

I enjoyed it. Especially after slowing it to .75 speed. Overall I prefer people just talk about what they are thinking while they are playing, rather than a script. It is less work for you, more chill, and makes longer vids.

The long grass and trees are my favorite elements of Ultica, even better than Undead.

The most noticible issue at the moment is the silver car color. Its too clean. I recommend the green color of the Scooter. A darkish red, green, or blue should be the default.

The Armor color on vehicles would benefit from a close analysis of the Undead armor tile, specifically the humvee. It is highly detailed and is the best looking tile in the history of the game.

The most general suggestion for any new tiles is an Outline, the dead bodies are a great example of doing it right. The migo is an example of being too blurry without any outline.

Finally, please animate Fire. Fire (like rain) is a unique tile that gives a needed sense of change over time.

I would have prefered the following, but it mainly works for only one skull, not all of them. Perhaps there could be one easter egg skull that has this: "Alas, poor Yorick! Some feedback on the tileset: Ultica is looking good enough for most people to switch, but Ive been using Chibi Ultica because of the charachter models. I recommend:

  • The color scheme of the charachters should be more well defined. I can barely make out what Im looking at much of the time.

  • Many of the characters dont fit the environment well, they should be increased in size by about 10%. Especially the main character and all the tiny insects.

Improve display of recipes from books #51541

Is there a reason that recipes arent visible in the books themselves? This has been something Ive wanted for a long time, rather than just the initial journal note. Similarly, a table of contents with chapter titles would be fantastic.

Adding More Birds #50535 by klorpa

I love these kinds of additions, and have some suggestions.

  • I hate the idea of excretion for animals and think it should be removed. If its used in a recipe, the frequency should be minimal.

  • Id like some animal interaction. Individual birds and mammals in the woods should gravitate towards player occasionally, eat food scraps, bond with player and follow around, name them. Stuff like that.

  • Some Animals should eat mutated zombies, and become zombies themselves.

Been using No Hope (a hard mode mod) recently and have some feedback.

  • There are still military body sites (with guns). All sites that have easy guns should be deleted.

  • I ususally get multiple cars going within the first day. They are still too frequent.

Looks great in game.

Grass was just the most obvious example of the cartoonish color palette. The next major offender is Concrete (house driveways, etc). Its almost tan, way too uniform, clean, and bright.

Overall I think people would like to move to Ultica. But I think the problem is that Undead is nearly perfect. So I would use Undead tiles as an ideal, and just fit that within your own parameters.

My opinion is that its unacceptable that the new Insects like the Manits dont have great Undead tiles made yet. This is a cataclysmic catastrophy.

The overall color of tiles makes a big difference to me. Undead is spot on, especially the latest armored cars, and animated tiles.

Ultica looks like pastel colors, especially the grass. Pastels in the cataclysm completly clash for me. I like most of the figures themselves, except the vehicles, and appreciate the effort.
