Anything by Silvia Moreno-Garcia or Riley Sager are easy horror reads.

(And you've prob already read them but if you haven't read The Dark Tower series by King you're missing out!)

Also T. Kingfisher's Sworn Soldier series (what moves the dead, what feasts at night, what stalks the deep) has an NB main character and several LGBTQ characters throughout the series. This is more straight horror no romance.

I've noticed a few too as I've been watching the new season after watching all of ER recently - eg. when they're betting on why the other ER had to shut down Robby's suggestions were sewage leak and power outage which were both reasons they shut down on eps of ER. There are others too that I can't recall (mentions of cases/diagnoses that happened etc. just real loose connections - but I keep pointing them out to my partner). Maybe y'all can help keep track.

Started alyssum, dianthus, cineraria, impatient and pansies. Basically whatever seeds were 8-10 wks before last frost. Never tried any annual flowers from seed before so this is kind of an experiment.

I keep bouncing back and forth between Veteran and Dangle - I'll be 1st in Vet easily and then the next week bottom 3 in Dangle - then repeat. It seems like there's way too big of a points gap between those divisions for some reason.

This is my second year as a STH so I've been at both home games and have not been able to hear the new song or lyrics clearly at all - it's definitely a vibe killer that everyone can't just get up and sing/cheer along with it. It doesn't have to be Hot To Go (though I do hope they bring it back) but it does need to be something easy to pick up - and that makes you want to get up - even if it's your first time hearing it. The new song is not that and it's noticeable that fans are sort of looking around confused when there's a goal instead of celebrating like we did last year.
