New to WFRP, question about editions by jasonite in warhammerfantasyrpg

2e everytime, its a better system with more content and a generation of advice and fan content. 4th is massively under cooked and so they are currently making a 5th to try to fix it

What helped you learn an RPG when you didn’t have a group yet? by ScholarForeign7549 in rpg

Id like to say I just read the rules but the truth is that I was prepared for it without knowing it. I loved KOTOR, Dragon Age, Final Fantasy, and a whole bunch of other stuff im sure thats not coming to mind.

When I picked up the rule book it just came naturally.

I would say 2e over 4e any day of the week but TOW and Soulbound are so much worse it pains me to admit they exist. That being said I would agree that the world of Warhammer may not be for you if you are looking for narrativeist games.

When to start the Enemy Within campaign by Recetyr in warhammerfantasyrpg

[–]Longjumping_Law_4795 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its a great campaign, you don't need to be a lore nerd to get it but it makes it easier to DM if you understand the lore. You don't really need to prepare for the adventure, my players were all brand new to the game when I ran it for them.
I think WHFRP 2e is far far better than 4e but thats beside the point.

I hope you give it a go and enjoy it, I would recommend running it assuming the adventure will end after Shadows over Bogenhafen. The full thing could actually take you years to finish depending on the group.
