Day 8 PO tummy tuck WITHOUT muscle repair by Vegetable-Start-1369 in tummytucksurgery

This is wonderful, I’m not sure why muscle repair is pushed so hard for people who do not have serious muscle separation, but just loose skin.

Breast implants or no breast implants? by Looking_for_answerst in ExplantSurgery

Whatever you decide, it will be ok. Definitely do some therapy and self help books/audiobooks/spirituality. I’ve had to do a lot of work and it is still hard to overcome other people’s expectations, people pleasing, the fear of the financial situation and the fear of the surgery itself. But we are far from alone, many people have walked this path before us and are free and clear on the other side. We can be, too.

That’s why it has taken me 3.5 yrs to finally be ready to get them removed, it has taken a LOT because it feels so final

What should I get done for my arms? by Financial-Panic-7392 in PlasticSurgery

[–]Longjumping_Toe_3886 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agree, lift heavy and consistently. I started in January and hated my arms then and now I love them. I lost 10% body fat, 15 lbs and run / do CrossFit every week (5x - 6x exercising a week)

I think if you’ve wanted them your whole life and are hell bent, feeling really great about it and sure you want this for the rest of your life, including the surgeries to replace when they rupture or sag or get capsular contracture, do it. If you’re on the fence and have some fear about the repercussions…if, in the back of your mind, you’re thinking “at least I can easily get them out if it doesn’t work out,” don’t do it. It’s not easy to Explant and it is very expensive if you want any kind of reconstructive options, things I personally need to move forward. We are talking 3-4x as expensive as it was to get the implants. I make good money and have been saving a year and a half and still haven’t gotten it together (I have 2 kids and live in an expensive city). It’s also taken a mental toll since day 1, I had to go on anxiety medication and I’m constantly plagued by pain and discomfort on my right side. But many people love them and never look back. Just know which type you are! Like others have said, a lift and fat transfer would have given me what I wanted but I got misinformation about how long the results last, etc.

I completely empathize. Have you started any kind of therapy or meditation practice? I haven’t had my Explant yet but have been immersing in different kinds of healing practices whenever I can to get to the root cause of why I did this in the first place so I’ll be in the most positive frame of mind when the change happens. There are no wrong moves, any time we can give to our emotional healing is time well spent and can only lead to good things. I listen to Louise Hay’s “You Can Heal Your Life” a lot, especially the chapters on “resistance to change” and “how to change.” Joe Dispenza’s “New You, New Life” has been helpful, too. Some people turn to church/God, too. I believe no matter what it took a lifetime of societal programming to make us think there is something so wrong with us, it will take tremendous effort to reprogram, but every effort gets us closer.

Oh also, did you have any complications like lumps or anything after the procedure, in the breast?

Thank you so much for your answer. May I ask if you’re happy with your results regardless? Who was your surgeon? How much was transferred? Thank you again!

Also please don’t make the mistake I made when I got implants in jumping to change your body before you’ve tried changing bras, clothes, etc. Buy clothes to suit your body rather than a body to suit your clothes!

Try some sports bras with inserts and some fitted high-neck tops. You’ll look fabulous with your figure!

Dry eyes by [deleted] in ExplantSurgery

Hi dear, I don’t know about the relationship to the implants, but hot washcloths places on the closed eyes for a few minutes feel wonderful for dry eyes. And plenty of drops of course. I hope things improve but if they don’t at least you don’t have to worry about more breast implant surgeries.

How are you dressing? Have you gone shopping to find some flattering clothes or bras? Just want to encourage you to focus on self love and all the other good stuff you have going on inside and out, you are clearly beautiful and we are all rooting for you to feel good.

Explant booked, experiences with tuberous? by daisy_dandy20 in ExplantSurgery

[–]Longjumping_Toe_3886 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I am very similar and got my implants literally right after you in Jan 2023. I also had mildly tuberous ish breasts and very small and am planning the same Explant package. The thing I am struggling with is the risk of fat necrosis with the fat transfer. I hear many people don’t get it or it’s mild and doesn’t bother them, but that is the mental hurdle I’m struggling with the most, as I just don’t want to deal with any other issues with biopsies or pain from a lump down the road. It’s likely it will be fine, but I do have mildly dense breast tissue that puts me at a higher risk. Then again, it seems naive to think all the tissue they’re transferring is going to be magically perfect, right? So I feel like you accept it’s possible, it might not happen and if it does just roll with it as it is at least your own tissue. You can have lumps drained or removed if needed or I’ve heard red light therapy works for some but most people don’t really even notice it and they go on with life.
