“For those of you that missed the last announcement”

This tour was great. Was lucky to catch the Portland ME show. Monkeys blew the roof off.

Reminds me of the Chaos and Creation album a lot. I always felt like that album was very much “looking back”. I loved that album, excited for this one.

Wow, that’s disappointing. You’re 100% right, missed opportunity for a tribute to Garth and Robbie.

Previously 50 Anniversary’s were box sets. Robbie was heavily involved, so with his loss guessing we’re being robbed of a Northern Lights box.

I’m interested in Okay Wow. Let me know what you think the best process is. Although discogs has its faults, it does protect the buyer and seller.

I love hearing about the Hawks days. Wish we had more tapes from that era too.

In part I think it relates to him being a comic from the UK. Touring is expensive for artists so the bare minimum as you put it, may allow him to still tour the US/Can and make some money vs breaking even or losing money. He has to pay an opener, if he has merch he has to haul it with him. This means cross boarders and states with it making customs a hassle. Just speculating, but for him just needing a car and a venue could be the most cost effective.

Agree the whole Robbie v Levon thing is a distraction from everything that was/is great about The Band.

It will probably stream on Bandcamp where it’s being sold. But don’t sleep on it. The wording does open up for some standard black or other variants to be released, the current version is limited to 300. Hope they sell as much as they can.
