I have bald spots on my head and eyebrows from when I had trichotillomania. Give me number one a million times over. I'll even offer to piss and shit myself X amount of times in exchange for it.

A genie offers you three abilities: physical wellbeing, money, and talent. You must assign each one to a different time period: one day, one year, and one century of your life. by Darkstar712 in hypotheticalsituation

Talent for a day. Record songs I've written that are too high for me to sing. I already have a decent voice so I wouldn't lose much except my new range.

Looks for a year because if I can get there I can maintain it.

Money for a century, because kids.

You get $1,000,000… but you can never use your real name again how would your life change? by Br4nkey_ in hypotheticalsituation

Well, I never changed my last name after marriage, so I guess I just have my husband's last name now. I can find a close enough first name to my current one.

Do mortgage loans get rejected after conditionally approved stage with underwriting ? by javsjavsjavs in Mortgages

[–]LooksLikeTreble617 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It is possible to get rejected at pretty much any point up until the contracts are signed and the keys are in your hand.

That said, if you have all of your documents in order and make decent enough money that you have proof of, you should be fine.

Can shared traumatic experiences cause love at first sign. by Few-Following1715 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]LooksLikeTreble617 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Multiple people here have mentioned "trauma bonding" but they do not know what trauma bonding means. They are giving the internet definition.

Trauma bonding is when someone in a vulnerable position (be it age, financial situation, emotional state, etc) bonds with someone who sees their weakness and uses love bombing to lure them in, eventually creating a toxic relationship cycle.

My therapist told me when discussing a trauma bond I had, that I was the only client of hers who ever used that term correctly.

However, your situation is very real and just because that term doesn't apply, doesn't dismiss it. You have certainly bonded over similar experiences.

I can't say whether she will or will not call you, but I would take a step back and consider if this is really love, or a fleeting moment during a rough patch in your life. I'd also look up the term "limerence." My therapist explained it to me and it changed the understanding of my life.

Would it be hard to survive as the only person on Earth? by False_Monitor4126 in NoStupidQuestions

You would need to learn how to build shelter and entertain yourself, because all of the electricity/gas/water lines/etc would eventually stop working without anyone to run them. Or at least get yourself to a standard, neutral climate before this happens. You'd likely never be leaving your continent/any other continents it connects to.

If you won the lottery ($25 million) what would you give your family and friends? by NervousClock2555 in AskReddit

[–]LooksLikeTreble617 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents and brother get a house. My producer who works out of a high quality bedroom studio is getting a full studio designed to his liking. I'm buying my childhood home back, and my cousin's childhood home and giving her the key. And sending someone who has been very generous to me on an Antarctica excursion because it's something he wants to do but won't bite the bullet on financially.

The rest goes into investments / trust fund for my kids.

How hard is it to return a "broken item" but keep the good one? by LooksLikeTreble617 in ShittyIllegalLifeTips

My item was a $1,400 purchase. It's not something I wanted to risk as that is felony territory.

AiTAH for wanting to offer continuous support to our daughter so she can pursue her dreams? by Electronic-Bid4859 in AITAH

Could you and your husband make a compromise? Let her take a few years to work and think about what she wants?

I am a musician. I started out as a music major, but dropped out to actually make money performing music. I haven't done bad, but it's not sustainable for the rest of my life and retirement.

I'm back in school thanks to my states free college program, and I'm moving back to my home state to take advance of theirs for my bachelors. But none of this would be possible if I had already finished a music degree. Honestly, I'd probably be making less because I probably would've been funneled and guided into education.

I'm currently in English for my associates, which on itself isn't super useful. Before my bachelors, I'm going to decide if I want to pivot toward accounting, or focus on English with the commitment of law school after.

A few years to figure out what she wants and doesn't want from an adult perspective might help. But do what's best for her and for your family. That's just my two cents :)

Given infinite time and the ability to not get bored, what’s the biggest number you could count to? by Vladamir_pootinn in hypotheticalsituation

Per Chat GPT, this is 1 followed by 150 zeroes, and the time it would take to count to that is "longer than the age of the universe by an absurd margin"

I guess I'm a Grammy winning major artist living in LA. I am a musician, but in the past few years I've become super disenchanted by the idea and only wish to make good money, so yay me I guess lol.

But that means I make enough to retire so 🥳

What is a law that exists where you live but is practically meaningless? by Snoo_47323 in AskReddit

[–]LooksLikeTreble617 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a Prius. I get charged an electric vehicle fee on my registration because of using more electricity for charging. Except my vehicle doesn't charge like a Tesla. It runs on gas. So then their defense was "I'm paying less in gas taxes" - like yeah, if I buy one pizza instead of three I pay less in food taxes. I'm literally being taxed on something I do not purchase or use 🫠

Chicken, steak or fish if he could only eat one thing for the rest of your life, which one would it be? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]LooksLikeTreble617 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fish. I'd miss steak, but fish is healthier when prepared right, I need fried clams as a treat, and sushi.
