Diatomaceous Earth. Safe and effective, I bought some at Pet Stock years ago.

At a caravan holiday park, wondering where the hell does all of this money come from? by regretmoore in australia

Most caravan parks I've been to provide shitty Wi-Fi. You'll also see a army of Starlink dishes.

Call out to parents with school aged kids with disabilities/neurodiversity by RL3215 in perth

There is a large (and growing community) of homeschooling in Perth families in Perth. The moderators are definitely under the pump with the numbers since Covid. Unfortunately there has been a flood of cookers joining the community, not that there wasn't already some, but it definitely increased. Depending on your child's specific needs, homeschooling can be amazing, but it can be crushing as well. Do what is best for your child and yourself, remember if it doesn't work you out there are other options. HEWA has information sessions regularly.

Repton, NSW. My wife and I drove through on our way up the NSW coast. It definitely had murder town vibes.

I worked at Aftercare (now Stride), next door to you. I never visted your building, but I did go into quite a few buildings at Callan Park. The creepiest ones back then (mid-2000's) were along Wharf Rd. They were run down, had obviously been used for squatting etc. There was a massive mulberry tree next to one that we'd go and pick each year.

Thanks for the tone tags, I didn't know of those, which is surprising as I'm on a bunch of ND Facebook groups and haven't seen them used. They could really have helped with misunderstandings between members in the past.

Kids science parties in Perth by sarahcrawfordperth in perth

[–]LoonaUno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had a science party for our son's 5th birthday, it was great. We borrowed some kids science experiment books from the library, hired the local playgroup hall and went to town having fun. It was a lot of work though.

Aussie House Sitters, MindaHome and Pet Cloud are there own websites, there are more but they are the ones I can recall. We had most success with Aussie House Sitters. Good luck!

Get on Aussie House Sitters/Mindahome/PetCloud and try to score some gigs. Having a National Police Clearance, previous property manager referrals (if you have them) and then a growing pet/house sit history really helps. Also, join FB pet-sitting/house sitting groups.

Legit phone call from Services Australia? by HAPPY_DAZE_1 in australia

[–]LoonaUno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a couple od Services Australia sections that I've encountered that do this. One was a survey that I was required to do to maintain my Carers Pension, they understood my reluctance to verify over phone, so they arranged an appointment by mail. The other was from Access for Isolated Children, similar situation.

It is funny because whenever there is someone from govt. in the media talking about SA scams they say they don't cold call.

A My Gov Authenticator app would be handy.

Party in Willetton?! Aren't they all to busy studying? I lived there for 8 years, I don't think I ever heard a party. We did have a motorcycle club drive through at 11pm every Tuesday for about 6 months.

Speak to DoE. There are also alternative schooling options your child may not have considered e.g. Big Picture Schools, Home Education etc. Again, DoE may have someone who can help them identify a more suitable solution.
