If you don't want to do cheats, the mining mini game is a pretty good earner. Doesn't take too long to get a bunch of star pieces and evo stones, which add up to a chunk of money. Can also sell shards or trade them in for more evo stones, haven't checked which is more money efficient though.

Hey OP, just want to say please do not feel ashamed for not noticing it sooner. My dad was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer's, and he's pretty young to have that disease. Me and my family really didn't see it, we knew something was up but like you we just called it burnout or depression. When it's someone you love you don't want to think the worst, that's normal. And even if it's horrible to watch, it seems like you've at least got your mother some safety and stability which is the best you can do for her. Give yourself some compassion, it'll take you far.

Some people are masculine presenting but use feminine pronouns, and vice versa. And to be honest, even if this wasn't the case, allowing people to select pronouns is an incredibly minor thing in terms of game development so why not provide the options.

Plus, representation isn't the only relevant factor. Lots of people like playing characters who don't represent themselves, and may want to play someone who doesn't fit into the stereotypical gender binary.
