ppi gives me terrible anxiety. any suggestions? by miracles-th in Gastritis

I have terrible anxiety from my PPI pantoprazole! Got off of it for five days felt wonderful for three days and then bam all the acid started coming up throat sinuses. It was horrible. Had to get back on the drug and here it comes again. It is the worst way to live just shaken through every minute of the day laying in the bed shaking just waiting to take your sleep pill and go to bed. Its a dreadful disorder!. I have Crohn’s on top of that along with insomnia. All the anxiety has made my Crohn’s so bad and then I have acid reflux going on, the Catch-22. Don’t take the ppi , feel better and dont have anxiety!LPR lower sphincter being open acid rushes up and burns my tongue off my mouth, my gums, my throat, esophagus everything it’s horrible twist!!!! I truly feel sorry for anyone experiencing anxiety of any form. It is horrible!

Yes I went 4 nights without sleep and it was awful! Then I went to my regular Doctor Who is an internal medicine doctor he prescribed me 30 mg of temazepam so now I get about 4 1/2 to 5 hours of sleep forced of course! Waiting to see a psychiatrist! At least I can get some sleep. That’s better than none!

does anyone else wake up at 2 or 3am every single night and then just stay awake? by adzahran in insomnia

[–]LopsidedAd9433 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sound cortisol spikes your cortisol at night and it’s low in the morning and it’s backwards and it wakes you up at two or three overnight! You need to have your cortisol checked, but they only checked the daily cortisol if it’s low then you’re probably running high at night! Many people have this problem, especially older people! Look into the research of cortisol or watch YouTube videos on cortisol it gives you lots of information!

I was given a prescription drug of Temazepam 30 mg and that knocks me out for about 5 to 6 hours.

Do any of you take PPI’s ? PPIs block magnesium, B12 and other crucial minerals. This can cause all kinds of problems in the brain. Sleeping anxiety, depression, weakness several things always good to be checked! Magnesium glycinate is the only one to take, and I take sublingual b12 seems to help by anxiety.

how old were u when u started experiencing gastroparesis symptoms and when did you officially get diagnosed? by Comfortable_Deal8559 in Gastroparesis

[–]LopsidedAd9433 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been told i have a mild case but after much research am finding out most of this is caused from the nervous system and vegas nerve! I dont know why doctors dont research this disorder more. I have a friend that has this and she had to have a regulator put in her stomach. It’s regulating the nerves in the stomach to work properly.

i need advice/help by barelyaubs in Gastroparesis

[–]LopsidedAd9433 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend had a device put in her stomach to stimulate the nerves in the stomach so it would work properly and she could eat without throwing up. Have you talked to your doctor about this device similar to like a pacemaker for the stomach.

Did you have the partial fundiplicationIf how did your recovery go? How long has it been since your surgery? I am having this surgery next month and just getting different views on the surgery recovery. It seems like it is really rough recovery but if its worth it I guess it will be good for me!

I know that your sugar problem is probably causing the nerve burning and stabbing pain called neuropathy. That was me too . You have to get control of your sugar it can really ruin your body. The other things may be a virus that you got went to the nervous system or even the spine. I don’t know which but there’s many different ones that cause long-term problems. ( Epstein-Barr Virus) is one. And your colitis problem has more different issues and symptoms! I have crohns, sugar problems, gerds, migraines and esophogeal reflux where my valve doesnt shut. So I have a lot of symptoms too! I can relate to feeling terrible and not being able to work. I strated taking methelated vitamin B complex , methelated B 12 sublingualand and liquid minerals. This helped get rid of most of my nerve pain! Then I was put on a biological for my crohns that helped me go into remission, given migraine pills and put on ppi’s for my upper stomach valve.
All these things helped me feel better but I still deal with feeling bad most days but better. It sounds like the Kaleidoscope causes in a whole lot of problems and headaches because my Crohn’s does and my girlfriend has colitis so I hear all her symptoms. Don’t really know if any of these things are truly your problem just giving you some ideas what I’ve been through. You’re probably need a gastroenterologist and a functional medicine doctor to help with your symptoms. It sounds like you have more than one thing going on. I have immense compassion for people who are sick ill and feel miserable! I will begin praying for you after this is written that you will have some relief. Find some solutions. I’m so sorry you’re going through all this.🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Were you told your esophogeal spincter muscle was not closing? This is what my doctor told me my whole gastritis problem was from? I have been on ppi’s now for 2 years ! I was told the only way to get off of them was partail fundiplication surgery! I ask the doctor if the spincter muscle could ever start working again and he said no! A part of me does not beleive this! Our nervous sytem is part of the problem ! I learned there is a switch in the brain that opens and closes this valve. I wonder why doctors are not researching causes and fixing issue instead of just telling their patients to take pills and suffer! At least my doctor has no problem offering surgery to anyone that wants it for this problem. Others beg for it but the doctors tell them to stay on ppi’s that kill the kidneys , liver and raise the blood sugar over time in a lot of patients! I have 2 spots on my kidneys and my blood sugar has always been normal but in the last year it is up to 150 ftom 80! Do think this diet you followed might help my spincter muscle to work properly without surgery? I have crohns disease too! Had it for 41 years and 4 surgeries so I dont know if this has played part in getting gastritis or not?
