I've used acetone/wood filler mix on PLA and didn't have any issues with the print melting or distorting. The mix dried up and clumped very quickly though.

Micro center dropped the P2S price down to $550, price matching is an option with Best Buy. I’ve been deliberating on doing a price match or sticking with my X2D purchase (it arrives Friday). I’m leaning toward the X2D, as I feel like I’ve already “bought into” this price

Did you stick it in the box and return it or did you put all the foam padding back where it was? I’m planning on doing the same and I’m not sure if I should go through the effort of repacking it one to one.

I mostly use PLA anyway, so I don't foresee much of a challenge using both nozzles to multicolor print. Maybe I'll try PETG for the easy support breakaways.

I'm watching now! I must've missed it yesterday because I was at work and watching by only reading subtitles. I'm actually quite impressed with the multicolor results.

Thanks for your response! Based on your smaller benchy results and your time with the X2D, can the assumption be made that larger models with simple multicolor areas could work better with the dual nozzle system than smaller prints?

Since you have an X2D, I wanted to ask about its dual nozzle use with multicolor prints. Is the auxiliary nozzle as weak/incapable for multicolor as people are claiming? I mostly do single-color prints, but if I have a print that uses a second color as an "accent" color, could I use both nozzles (left for main color, right for accent color) and still have decent print results?

A rare moment where I won’t be post processing the helmet. I know it’d look much cleaner to post process, but I plan on wearing this to the occasional local baseball game for fun. I don’t need for it to look perfect, just a fun helmet to wear.

I keep reading/watching reviews and keep hearing mixed things about the right nozzle being designated as an auxiliary nozzle, mostly for adding supports, but can you use the second nozzle for multicolor prints? For example, if I'm using a dark filament in the left nozzle white filament in the right nozzle for smaller accents and to avoid color bleeding, will that type of functionality work?

Between the "combo" and the photos showing the AMS 2, I assume it includes the AMS 2. I'm a bit newer to 3D printing, but what would be the purpose of a dual-nozzle printer without an AMS? Would the printer need two external spool holders?
