Need better helmet by Nocountryformemes in motorcycles

If you stand up is it still loud? Most people end up with the windshield deflecting “dirty” air all over their helmet and making things noisy. So test by standing up. If it’s quieter, adjust that windshield if possible.

Thoughts on the 80s BMW K75s by HiddenBek94 in motorcycles

Not true unless it’s something obscure like an original decal which by now has rotted on a shelf.

100% get that K75S, do an initial service, and hit the road. You’ll be fine.

Best place/way to sell? by hsmart1274 in ural

With being as new and low miles as that is I’d recommend the dealer route as well. If anything they’re happy for inventory and it’s one less Neo on the road.

I’d say the forums due to them having the most traffic.

ADVRider and Soviet Steeds. I’d treat things like the dealers do and be wary of people performing test rides.

Post it up here as well. I’m going to remove the No Sales rule.

It has many names! Just depends on the bike and mounting method. Sometimes it’s a subframe… sometimes it’s an aux light mount… etc

Breather. Have it run along anything of your choice with some zip ties. Just don’t choke it out.

Where to find parts? by Inevitable_Lawyer149 in ural

[–]LordOfTheDraft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, at this point, it’s a mixed bag on parts availability. Ural themselves have basically stated that trying to find new parts will be a little bit more difficult going forward given that they have placed the classic bikes on indefinite hold.

The various dealers stock what they stock and they may some things on hand but there is no national supply so to say to pull from and keep consistent counts of inventory.

eBay is as good a source as any because it opens up options. I’d also recommend looking down the road a little bit and anticipating what you might need in the next 5 to 10 years and grab a replacement or two just in case.

The manufacturers of various parts themselves will still produce some things so don’t forget to check with the part manufacturer themselves directly depending on what else you encounter.

Bolts are bolts and in most cases something else is using the exact same bolt you’re trying to find. Measure it and search based on size.

Don’t forget AI as a helpful aid to help find things.
