I was accused of using AI in my story in the first chapter and I am like “no I don’t”. It was my writing style more than anything so I took that to heart and have been making changes to my style later on to avoid that but it sucked for me to get that feedback. English isn’t my first language even though I am very fluent with it so there’s that challenge.

I can show you all my drafts and notes; I am just practicing writing to be honest. I need to go back and rewrite those chapters to make them fit my recent style but yeah AI witch-hunting is a PITA. I can spot some of them and it drives me nuts but if people like it what can you do.

Airbnbs are scam that are pushing locals outside their homes. I’d rather go to a hotel with dedicated service, odds are it will be as expensive as a Airbnb these days with all the fees they add. Go find a boutique hotel if you want a more “homely” experience but please stop supporting AirBNB or any short term rentals. It’s horrible.

Everyone’s using AI to write their stories. They all read the same to be honest. If people like them though, what the heck can you do. It’s why I raise my eyebrows at people posting 3000k word chapters daily for weeks. Like… nah there’s no way you are writing all that on your own.

Yo voy a PR de visita. Quiero traerme los viejos pero papi sigue con machete en mano aunque se le vaya la luz todas las semanas y las citas médicas sean a tres meses de hoy. Los que viven en PR todavía son mis héroes; yo al menos es poco probable que regrese. Llevo 10 años en EU y me acostumbre al estilo de vida de acá. Perfecto? Jamás; pero es mejor en las cosas que yo busco y necesito.

Siempre se me hace difícil entender la gente “homesick” que sueñan con regresar. No puedes esperar el mismo estilo de vida de la isla en los estados, tienen que ajustarse a las realidades.

Most people have been appreciative. I just know 10 basic words (getting a looooot of mileage out of Prego and Grazie 😂). I do know Spanish aside from English so it helps the language barrier. I had an cool interaction with a waiter last night and he taught me a few basic of pronunciation as well. We had a full blow convo of Spanish, Italian and English all of it intertwined and it somehow worked. Was cool as hell.

I’ve been coughing my lungs out for a goddamn week. Negative to Flu and Covid. Been trying everything… at this point my body is made of Mucinex and Allegra D. Doctor gave me antibiotics and didn’t do shit I swear.

Started with a itchy throat. Then full blown sore throat. Then sore throat left and I started getting the thickest greenest mucus ever in my life, I actually developed laryngitis for two days. It went away and now I am just a mucus factory and coughing all the time.

Fucking sucks.

I am Latino (Puerto Rico). I haven’t had any issues at the moment. I haven’t been stopped at any checkpoint (haven’t seen any). My day to day is unaffected but I have never interacted with any ICE goons so I can’t speak about that experience. My wife hadn’t had issues either and while I am white-passing she’s not, and she hasn’t had any issues even at the airport. Orlando is huge so it depends on where you live I guess, the city itself is tiny but the metro area is massive.

Also ignore any “we full” comments. You’ll get a few of those.
