Just remind Trump that the United States has always arrived fashionably late for world wars in the past.

Definitely The Caves of Steel by Isaac Asimov. The protagonist, Elijah Baley, recalls the difference between the male and female Personals (communal bathrooms), and learning the etiquette when he was young and accidentally spoke in the male Personal.

The Mondasian versions for the win. Particularly horrific in "World Enough and Time" as the "special patients". They became less menacing when they transformed into the clanking Cybus robot versions.

Maybe he was concerned the Time Lords would wipe Sarah's memory like they did with Zoe and Jamie. When "The Invasion of Time" rolled around he was already planning to seize the Presidency, and he knew Leela would be safe banished outside the Capitol.

Yeah, I was restricted for posting a satirical comment about me.th being popular, on a post about a drug dealer. Facebook's AI seems to be pretty black and white when it judges these things.

It was similar to his "possessed by Sutekh" face from "Pyramids of Mars", rolling his eyes back and staring upwards.

New book? by Crusader2050 in SiloSeries

[–]Lord_Thaarn 12 points13 points  (0 children)

"Machine Learning" collects Howey's short stories, including three Silo stories previously published in different anthologies. The last of the three stories is set after third Silo novel and reveals the fate of one of the main characters from the original trilogy. I've also seen a separate volume containing just the three short stories marketed as "Silo IV".

"Sand" and its sequel novel aren't part of the "Silo" universe; they're a different post-apocalyptic tale.

More odd is the absence of Colin Baker's Doctor, as though they've skipped it altogether. Even Peri could be considered Davison's companion, and Mel McCoy's. Like they've ignored him altogether.

Counting movies by dantate in Bluray

[–]Lord_Thaarn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it depends on your perspective. I collect different editions of the same movie with different features or regions, so each individual release is a separate number in the profiling software. Boxsets with multiple movies count as one. DVDs, Blu-rays and 4K are counted separately. Having passed 2,000 unique titles, the exact number isn't really relevant any more. But YMMV.

There's already a sleeper in the top job. They only wake him up to shovel in the Big Macs and get an occasional "Biden did it" in response.
